@BrysonAkinsNBA What would make sense to me is some form of AD to Port. Some form of players and picks to Sacramento and Sabonis to the Wiz.

Would assume it involves Holiday. Bring in a backup one guard, bolster some perimeter defense as well. Might also bring in Grant to make money work.

@Wiz_Weekly They were always going to sign TY to an extension. Was this at a higher price than most anticipated? Yes. But the FO already decided months ago that this was the direction. Besides the $$, I'm surprised that this is some kind of surprise to you

I don’t want to watch Trae Young be hunted on defense in every action for the next 4 seasons. We’re gonna be forced to put 2 on the ball on every defensive possession I don’t understand handicapping your defense in that way for a player that is no longer elite on the other end

@BrysonAkinsNBA Setting aside whether the Wiz think Vuk is a rotation big or not, they need at least 2 more bigs. So I don't think the draft bears that much on an AD ext.

Tuesday night will answer the question of “will Anthony Davis get an extension?” If the team trades to acquire another pick for a big, then Davis is out. If they do not take a big or acquire another pick, then it's safe to assume Davis will be extended.

@RyanBOliver I think most everyone would agree that he is an immense talent with massive upside. All the questions for the Wiz at 1 revolve around his personality/leadership and suitability to be the face of the franchise going forward

We got to stop acting like Darryn Peterson is not that guy. He's a helluva prospect and the Wizards would be fortunate to add him to the young core.

I would really only expect Miami and Brooklyn to make offers for Trae that would be enticing to leave Washington. Brooklyn can simply offer more money, but would they want to. Miami can offer a similar package, but I just think they would prefer to wait on a Giannis decision.

Some of you do realize we have real reports about what the Trae Young extension will look like, don't you? I get you all WANT it to be cheap, but he's not taking less than $35 million a year, with the most likely deal at $40 million a year.

@esidery If AD ended up with Portland, I think it would need to be a 3 team deal -- Possibly with Sacramento so Sabonis ended up in DC and players and picks to Sacramento

I get this is more so a “I wish it happens” idea, but Bilal isn’t getting moved this summer as he showed improvement. If any Wizards player gets moved, it is Champagnie or Davis, don’t expect anyone else to be considered a player to be traded.

@cdachi @Domo8186 Sabonis would be the worst fit amongst those three as he can’t play the physical three like Zion, doesn’t have the shot or ball handling as Davis. All he brings is rebounding.

The Thunder cap stuff is much more straightforward than doomers are making it out to be. They’re $39 million over the second apron. Dort (team option), Wiggins and Joe (tradable into MLEs) combine to make $38 million. Pretty simple solve with a Hartenstein renegotiation.

By the way Trump just closed the nations oldest and largest bee research center. If bees go extinct are lives drastically change. Foods like apples, watermelon, coffee, and almonds would cease to exist or become very expensive due to scarcity. This is more important than you think it is.
