@windsurf I can understand the daily quota, but the weekly quota doesn't make sense and it penalizes heavy users for Windsurf. If my daily quota is 100% and my weekly is around 50%, I only have another day before I would be done for the whole week.

@jasonwillems @windsurf I think I see what you're saying now. They changed their pricing for their models from 1x to $, etc which means that they've lumped Opus 4.5 and 4.6 in the same group and same price range. This change in no way benefits the consumers at all and is limiting.

My concern is not about the base price. It’s that I need to adapt my usage to match their pattern (constant moderate usage rather than heavy usage on certain days). If you skip a week, you’re leaving credits on the table. Etc. Also, overages are now charged at API prices, which will be significantly more expensive than the current overage model. And the current mechanism in which models could be charged from .5 X to 20 X actually worked very well. Tailor the model towards the complexity of the problem. They were clearly losing money on the old model so they moved to the industry standard. But that means they’ll be judged on the comparative quality of their product now.

just re-subscribed to @screenstudio and I genuinely wish I didn't have to have lifetime licenses for multiple alternatives tested them all, but none is as polished yet screen studio is overpriced and ships way too slowly for 2026 but it's STILL the best screen recorder out there gave them one more year by then the competition will have beaten it, no doubt remember: time is more valuable than money if a tool saves you hours every week, just pay for it and move on
