@Austen What if you are not an engineer but love to build with AI and you already do in many ways? :D

Am I weird? I was invited to a podcast today. Couldn’t find a dog sitter for that time, so I did what everyone would… took the dog to the interview 😄

@AlfredSimon Have noticed it having to actively recall tool results from tmp files lately Assume they added it as a way of reducing the context bloat and compacting all the time Trade off would be having to look for things its done before in a different way

Weird behavior from Claude Code today. It already happened twice. So I was making a presentation with CC, then I asked to add something else to it. It went and had to research the colors we just used. I mean, that should've been in the context window. I barely used 35% of it. I've already seen this happen twice. It's like it totally forgot the first part of the chat. The weird thing is that the context window wasn't even full. anyone ideas? I just want to understand why this happens.

@dayonefoundry This + they spend the marketing efforts on the wrong stuff. I see at least 3-4 new builders each month, starting to post daily vlogs about building the product. Dude build the product, don't waste your time on filming yourself. Speaking of experience :D

just re-subscribed to @screenstudio and I genuinely wish I didn't have to have lifetime licenses for multiple alternatives tested them all, but none is as polished yet screen studio is overpriced and ships way too slowly for 2026 but it's STILL the best screen recorder out there gave them one more year by then the competition will have beaten it, no doubt remember: time is more valuable than money if a tool saves you hours every week, just pay for it and move on

@codingmenace @robinebers @screenstudio Yeah it's not free, but I use it to edit all my videos anyway. So what I was doing is record in ScreenStudio and then edit in capcut. So was paying for 2 tools :D now I do everything in 1

well not always true. For example I use handy for Voice input and that is also displayed like this. That is annoying and I need to check if the transcription worked or not. So now I first need to drop it into an md and then copy-paste into terminal or just say to Claude "use transcript.md"

This is the most annoying thing in Claude Code. Hiding raw text when you paste more than 4 lines. Terrible UX decision.

90% of tech Twitter lives in a bubble. If you work with normies you know exactly what I'm talking about. The reactions I get daily: "How did you do that?" "How are you so fast?" "What a nice presentation, which Google Slides template is that?" I'm blessed that I get to learn from real AI practitioners here on X. Then I take that knowledge into a company where most people haven't touched these tools yet. They're genuinely amazed at the speed. But there's no magic behind it. All I do is use Claude Code for normie work the same way a dev would use it for code. On top of a system where context is always present, combined with a growing library of CC skills. Nothing fancy. But the gap between "uses AI with a system" and "uses AI sometimes" is massive right now. And most people don't even know the gap exists. A few use cases: Google Ads search term review = one skill, takes 10 min Google Ads RSA creator = one skill takes 5 min Complete Google Ads audit = it usually took us a day. Now it takes 10 min :D And a whole lot more.

Working with AI will fry your brain and there's not much you can do about it. Either the brain rot gets you or the sheer intensity of the work does. Not many people are talking about this yet, but AI-assisted work has one big issue. Your brain is fried at the end of the day. And there are usually 2 reasons for it. You write a nice prompt to Claude, hit enter. Then you wait. While you wait there are two routes: Option 1: The brain rot route You have X or LinkedIn open on another screen. You doom scroll and in between the scrolling you hit enter a few times. This is the option I'd avoid at all cost. I did it a few times. It's not healthy or fun. Option 2: The "I'll start something else" route In my case that means another Claude session for a different project. Example from today: On one screen I was working on our content agent v2. On another screen I was building a forecasting tool. At the end of the day my brain was just fried from all the intense work. I literally had 0 down moments during that sprint. From one super intensive task I just jumped to the other. This is my solution to not doing brain rot stuff. But I believe that long term, neither of these options is great. Anyone experiencing the same?

@atmoio very well put! Not a developer, but already feeling some of the things you mentioned. Now I'm still at the stage that : Holy shit I can even do that. But then I always realise is not me doing it and that kills the fun :D
