Dear software guys who want a fun welcoming community to talk about PCBs, share, and learn together. We're building something special here, we'd love to have your follow along.
BlindVia@blind_via

Wait, software guys actually follow hardware guys because it looks like something they want to do? Bro, welcome aboard, I want to share my 20 years of hardware skills with you. All the old people doing PCB stuff are retiring, we need more PCB dudes! Please join me!

This is my exact situation at the moment , trained a model for a few hours on an Ec2 instance, paid and cancelled the instance, got unpaid invoice for 5 months about storage and ECR blah blah blah, paid it and canceled, check my email today they’re telling me they might suspend my account if I don’t pay some invoice ffs

“Adobe will pay $75 M for making it too hard for customers to cancel their subscription.” let me tell you a story about another legend called “AWS”. for about 6 months I’ve been paying ~$2/month for an AWS service. I had no idea what it was. I checked my account on my phone to see what I was paying for. I felt lost in the woods. every once in a while I wondered what it was. every month I got an email from AWS about charging me. I felt like the devil is smirking right in front of me. but I brushed it off, because the payment was negligible. eventually I pulled out my mac and two monitors to see what’s the service and why it’s charging me. I found it. I thought I was past the hard part. You just click on the service and cancel it right? RIGHT?! but boy canceling a service is like a fever dream. I was lost in an intertwined maze of +100 services in 20 different regions and potentially multiple accounts. the service was an IAM key. I started an AWS account and tested something for a personal practice project for literally a few hours. I never wanted to learn AWS or do anything serious with it. never touched AWS since, but it was still charging me for… a key? I’m telling you AWS, with all its power and glory is not something you can mess up with unless you’ve graduated a few online courses. I had to eventually DELETE my account all together. I’m sure I could have figured out how to cancel a service if I’d watch 10 YouTube videos and spent a few more hours. but hell I didn’t want to. people running businesses on AWS must have beer running in their veins instead of blood. is it a skill issue? sure. but I don’t consider AWS a skill I need to learn, for now.

@altryne @Zeneca Brain transplant would probably not work as well as describing it as a data migration

@Zeneca I tried asking Hermes to brain transplant itself from my Openclaw backup, didn't work entirely but worked well enough

thoughts on openclaw vs hermes? has anyone switched from one to the other, successfully bringing their memory systems and other things?

@bcherny So it doesn’t persist when we exit the terminal, would be amazing if it could persist and we have a list if running loops we can reference later

Released today: /loop /loop is a powerful new way to schedule recurring tasks, for up to 3 days at a time eg. “/loop babysit all my PRs. Auto-fix build issues and when comments come in, use a worktree agent to fix them” eg. “/loop every morning use the Slack MCP to give me a summary of top posts I was tagged in” Let us know what you think!

Just built the ElRobot Manipulator from @norma_core_dev - 7dof Arm using Feetech servos - 1dof Parallel Gripper - Far more stable and precise than SO101 - Body Panels for better cable runs I think this arm can be capable of assembling another one of itself. More soon.

I ironed out a few problems today. Balance point adjustment and some final PID tuning are all that’s left I think. Anyone know how to fix the eventual falling over to one side? (All of this still looks like shit but I promise it’s doing better than it was earlier)

@HellenicVibes @mattshumer_ You clear don’t know how AI works if you think AI tools gives everyone the same outputs. You could not get AI to give you this exact article if you used your own thoughts as inputs, no matter how hard you tried

@mattshumer_ It’s pretty unserious to post AI text under your own name. If I wanted to know what Claude Opus 4.6 thought I’d ask it myself!

I'm spending $200/month for Max mode in Claude Code. For $200, I get a senior engineer who is available 24/7, readily brings all my ideas to life, never gets tired or impatient, and teaches me coding along the way. It's the best deal ever

The biggest thing Anthropic dropped today isn't Opus 4.6. It's Agent Teams. You can now spawn multiple Claude agents that work in parallel. A lead agent delegates tasks to sub-agents. They coordinate. They share context. They build together. This is the "Dev Team Mode" that was leaked. It's real and it's live. code.claude.com/docs/en/agent-…
