@CoachSwit Many times the problem happens before they reach high school. Playing from February to November starting at the age of 7 can’t be good, but it’s not going away. Too much money to be made.

High school baseball— Kids throwing 95–110 pitches every 4–5 days all season once available. I don’t agree with this. They’re not big leaguers. A lot of these arms have futures. That’s just my take—you can agree or disagree, it is what it is.

Annual post: Bill Raftery is 82 years old… He won only 154 games in his college coaching career… His last season was while Michael Jordan was in high school… He really isn’t a good commentator… Yet, he’s somehow, once again, announcing an NCAA championship game. Unreal!

@ptospinemd @DanProft If we want a coach who offensively runs pin downs, double staggers, and flares like Hurley we should hire Bruce Weber. His teams (see 2005) were more like UCONN. It is what it is, our personnel wasn’t built for that.

Maybe in the second half Brad Underwood can conceive of an offense other than Wagler dribbling the ball at the top of the key for 15 seconds and then deciding which of two stationary screens to drive off of or pop a 25-footer. Any other offensive options on the court? Pass the ball and find out. On D how about helping and recovering on the perimeter screens to cut down on open looks making mediocre perimeter shooters (other than Karaban) look like Ray Allen. WTF. @IlliniMBB @UConnMBB

Brad Underwood completely changing his systems is so cool. Can't think of many high-profile coaches who changed their system so drastically for the better. Self into 4-Game, Underwood from Spread to conceptual. Any others?

@SeanPaulCBB Hope you’re right but let’s not forget Adam “AceWolf 🙄” Miller. Everybody was saying the same after he scored 30+ vs Chicago State and he was average his freshman year. If they’re performing at a high level vs Texas Tech and UCONN then we can say they’re legit.

Keaton Wagler and David Mirkovic. That pair completely changes the outlook for Illinois. I liked the roster anyways, but those two are awesome. Wagler looks like a legitimate star already — and Mirkovic will be a double double machine.

6’7 bowling green senior Marcus Johnson had a great scoring performance against Michigan State in a tough battle 23 points 5 rebounds 3 assists 34 minutes He’s averaging 19.5 PPG on the season so far in 4 games. His transition to D1 from D2 has been excellent and his shotmaking today against MSU was very exciting to watch. Extremely talented and productive
