The Karmelo Anthony verdict shows that the justice system has reverted back to the Jim Crow South era. It is no longer about evidence. It is no longer about right or wrong. It is about keeping racial score through the prosecution and imprisonment of Black people. It was no surprise that an all white jury would find a 19 year old kid, who was bullied and harassed by two 6’1” bullies, guilty of murder while he was minding his business. We have seen this story before. A young Black man is put on trial, and somehow the burden shifts from what happened to him, to why he should not have defended himself. The facts become secondary. The optics become everything. The outcome feels predetermined long before the verdict is read. People will tell you not to make it about race. But race has always been part of the story in America. The hard truth is that many Black people no longer believe they will receive the benefit of the doubt when their freedom is on the line. And verdicts like this are exactly why. At some point, we have to stop pretending that everyone is playing by the same set of rules. Because the people watching this case saw something very different than what that jury claimed to see.

@elonmusk Elon, you’re using your control of an entire social media platform to manipulate us into supporting an ugly far-right agenda of mass derportiions and ethnic cleansing. Will it work? I hope not. But tapping into the worst of human nature can be an effective tactic.

We gotta stop making it EASY for people to get away with killing us. Now, go ahead and attack me for saying what anyone with common sense knows. Once you are armed you better understand you either commit to using your weapon or you are at the mercy of your opposition.

@bajabrian420 @HotepJesus @TheBrancaShow That has always been the rule. We have had people including former presidents who engaged in duels to the death over physical and NON physical disrespect. Modern Americans have been lulled into a state of pacificity. This is by design of course.

A testified "tap on the shoulder" does not justify a knife to the heart, you loon. And no high school student athlete was going to be "getting their ass beat" under a tent with dozens of other BLACK AND WHITE people just standing around watching someone be beat to death at a track meet. You loon.
Hotep Jesus@HotepJesus

NEW Karmelo Anthony defense witness TESTIMONY PROVES SELF-DEFENSE! Defense: "It was raining hard enough for people to be under tents?"  Witness: "Yes." Defense: "Eddie called Karmelo over to the tent?"  Witness: "Yes, sir." Defense: "The interaction between Eddie and Melo was friendly?"  Witness: "Yes, sir." Defense: "After Eddie called him over, Melo sat down?"  Witness: "Yes." Defense: "For about five minutes? Friendly talk? No one expressed a problem with Melo being there?"  Witness: "No." Defense: "Do you recall the first person to say to Melo, 'Who are you?'"  Witness: "Hunter Melcalf." Defense: "Hunter is a big guy?"  Witness: "You could say." Defense: "At the time of the event, Austin was a little bigger?"  Witness: "I'd say substantially bigger." Defense: "So Hunter tells Melo to leave?"  Witness: "Yes." Defense: "Melo said, 'No one has a problem with me being here besides you?'"  Witness: "Yes." Defense: "If you put Melo and Austin next to each other, Melo is smaller?"  Witness: "Yes." Defense: "Hunter started with a moderate tone, and it got more aggressive?"  Witness: "Yes, sir." Defense: "Do you remember telling the detective, 'You need to move before I beat your a--'?"  Witness: "I don't recall saying that." The defense approaches the witness with papers. The witness agrees that Austin said something like that, or something similar, about wanting to beat his a--. Defense: "Austin is standing up. Melo is still seated?"  Witness: "Yes." Defense: "That's when Melo reached into his bag, after Austin mentioned something about wanting to beat his a-?"  Witness: "Yes." Defense: "Austin calls his bluff and says, 'I know you don't have anything in that bag'?"  Witness: "Yes." Defense: "For Austin to make his way to Melo, he has to move up five rows?"  Witness: "Yes." Defense: "Austin takes a step or two, and then they talk, and that continues?"  Witness: "Yes." Defense: "All this time, as Austin is moving closer to Melo, Melo is seated with his hand in the bag, like 'don't come closer to me'?" Witness: "Yes, sir." Defense: "Melo says, 'As long as you don't touch me, we're cool,' or, 'Don't touch me'?"  Witness: "Yes." Defense: "You told the detective Austin reached up and tapped Karmelo on the shoulder? Melo is still seated?"  Witness: "Yes." Defense: "There's a touch, and then there's a grab?"  Witness: "Yes." Defense: "He [Austin] grabbed with both hands?"  Witness: "Both of his hands were in motion." Defense: "Austin is reaching for Melo, and at that point, Melo's hand comes out of the bag?"  Witness: "Yes."

@MattWalshBlog Rodney King had the shit beat out of him when he had no power to defend himself. That wasn’t about the man, it was about the true injustice of that moment, and more.

Rodney King, OJ, Michael Brown, George Floyd, Karmelo Anthony. My entire life I have watched black activists rally around the most dysfunctional, degenerate, morally repugnant parasites imaginable. Celebrating and defending the absolute worst of the worst. People who contribute nothing to society. When’s the last time an actual virtuous and heroic black man won popular support in his own community? It seems that kind of black man is more likely to be shunned than celebrated.

No president has ever been targeted for assassination three times. The level of political violence from the left is historic. We've never seen anything like it in the entire history of this nation. It's a five alarm fire. National emergency. Drastic measures must be taken.

Illegals should be deported whether they have criminal charges or not. But actively releasing them back into society after they’ve committed additional crimes is gratuitous. A total farce.

This is infuriating. How is an illegal immigrant not automatically deported after one charge? But 40? We are sacrificing American lives for the sake of coddling the most depraved, useless dirtbags on the planet. Outrageous. Grotesque.
AG@AGHamilton29

Local ABC affiliate reports that an illegal immigrant from Sierra Leone who murdered a woman at a bus stop had over 40 previous charges (including rape), but Fairfax County prosecutor Steve Descano dropped the charges in almost all of those cases.

@NickAdamsinUSA If you cap interest rates of credit cards or any loan for that matter, then poor people WILL lose access to credit and financing products. If you have no idea why that is, then you really don't have a clue how it works. You probably shouldn't even be involved in the conversation.

STACEY ABRAMS SCAM UNCOVERED BY DOGE?! .@DOGE found $2 BILLION in taxpayer dollars designated for a fledgling nonprofit called "Power Forward Communities," which had close ties to Democrat Stacey Abrams. Power Forward Communities was only a few months old with just $100 in the bank when it received the $2 billion grant in 2024. On their website, they listed partnerships with two other nonprofits, both founded by Stacey Abrams. Abrams also serves as senior counsel for Rewiring America, an organization that leads a coalition of groups including Power Forward Communities.

@elonmusk After seeing all of the fraud that has been uncovered by Dodge team it is clear that government can not be trusted with our money. The best way to make sure the fraud doesn't resume after Trumps term is over is to repeal the 16th amendment and end the income tax.

Lincoln held exactly the same position as @JDVance That’s why he refused to enforce the Dred Scott decision. Lincoln would have found the idea that some local Southern judge could halt the whole operation of a cabinet department of the federal government utterly preposterous

These are the words of a mad king. They are not the words of someone who cherishes and defends the separation of powers innate to our Constitution. You’re smart enough to know better, JD. You’re just too cowardly to stand up to Trump & Musk.
