Let's break this down for an everyday life PnL. $100K equals to 5-6 years of the average annual salary ($21,000) or over 8 years of minimum wage ($14,500 annually). Single person expenses (excluding rent: $900-$1,000/month) and for a family of four ($3,000-$4,000/month). Rent in Athens runs $600-$900 for a one-bedroom or $900-$1,400 for family-sized house. If you want to buya house though, $100K only buys a small 30-40 sqm studio at $2,300-$3,400 per sqm which is pretty small so not that perfect. Overall $100K is a lot of money but it's not life changing money.
