@namma_vjy @ChristinMP_ google.com/maps/d/edit?mi… I created a layer on top of google maps and added 4 areas which get submerged in rains...this helps from a historic point, what will be awesome will be to add in realtime (like in google step by step navigation)

Bumper yield to Bumper Harvest! Got a metric ton of green Jackfruits from 3 trees today. Within hours the soluble fiber rich green fruits inside these prickly giants will turn into green jackfruit flour and will be send to Amazon warehouses across India!

We’re painting the roof of our factory shed with solar reflective paint. Hopefully this works as advertised and perhaps even gives better efficiency to our solar panels once they get installed soon.

@vk_bhosale manufacturing employs a behavior modifying constraint called POKA YOKE - traffic police/bbmp should force such modifications (force medians, on slow speed roads install nail-strips to prevent 1-way traffic, etc)

Thats how common sense is lost in bengaluru. No one can repair this city unless people change their mindset.

Today I learned that I’ve been paying water bills for years in Bengaluru without ever knowing how to read a water meter. Can someone explain what I’m looking at here?

@HeyItsMegha @shriharap U need 2 readings in the pic it says 00406xx, which is rounded off to 00406000 liters Now let us say you turn the gate valve ON and let 1000 liters of water into your sump. The reading will be 00407xx, rounded off to 00407000 Usage = 407000-406000 = 1000 liters hth

@HeyItsMegha ohh yesss, when you dont use it, KEEP IT OFF - because water is pumped at high speeds, yes, high speed air also moves and turns your meter...so u r paying for a bunch of hot air! :-)

@shriharap This is probably the clearest explanation so far. Thank you. One thing m still confused about … is 406k liters the lifetime reading of the meter? How do I know how much water was used in the current month?

@HeyItsMegha @shriharap once you have squared off ur usage per kilo liter& surcharge for borewell comes the SANITARY CHARGE which is 31.25% of your water usage. As you can see, BWSSB is double-dipping...it hurts after 25KL because on top of 34 per 1000liters, you will pay a staggering 31% sanitary 6/

@HeyItsMegha @shriharap Notice the steep jump in usage after 25KL, so it makes sense to be very judicious about storing too much water in your under ground sump or overhead tank (plan well ie a week before reading meter reading) I DO, save nearly 500/- 5/

@HeyItsMegha @shriharap Here is the most interesting and important part - the BILL flip the bill - read the process it is calculated. BTW, INC in karnatka, with a stroke of pen REINTRODUCED Surcharge for borewell. Fixed sum, 230/- even for SITES BIG BLUDY FRAUD 3/

@HeyItsMegha @shriharap on the 9th of next month, take a look at the meter, my house it would probably read 00431xx. Thus my usage is 25000 liters 2/

@HeyItsMegha @shriharap do this. On the day of meter reading - for example 10th, take a picture. Here it shows 406000. As srihara mentioned, ignore red, bcuz meter reader round off to 1000s 1/

I teach auto shop at a small high school. We work on students cars, teachers cars, students parents cars and some community people cars. We only charge for parts and not labor, so we saved some people a lot of money last school year. This last school year we did 126 oil changes, 68 brake jobs, 85 alignments, 4 steering racks, 22 tune ups, 32 struts, 20 shock absorbers, 4 transfer cases, mounted and balanced 82 new tires, 4 timing chains, 15 valve cover gaskets, 14 thermostats, 4 radiators, 12 in tank fuel pumps, 8 EVAP canisters, 6 exhaust manifolds, 4 mufflers, 15 AC repairs including evacuate and recharge, 8 alternators, 22 batteries, 9 starters and so much more! Proud of those students I am!
