Commentators should temper down the hype when slam bang batting happens on runways. When the ball does a bit like the last 2 days the same batters cannot make any runs. True batting is playing bowlers whose skills can manifest & not when you neutralise their skills. @ashwinravi99

@chandrarsrikant There is something that does not meet the eye in this case. Chandra this went on for 4 years. Yet no escalation by the aggrieved to the HO or CEO. No whistle blower complaint. They go to a police station and sees it more secure. Intriguing!

Amid Nashik row, what TCS' POSH, grievance redressal framework shows Per TCS' FY25 annual report, the IT services major has multiple reporting channels for employees and external stakeholders to flag violations of its code of conduct, policies, or laws, including human rights concerns. These include whistle-blower mechanisms for protected disclosures, with all complaints reviewed and action taken where violations are substantiated. The company said its approach is based on a zero-tolerance stance on rights violations and guided by its code of conduct, with continuing efforts to support processes based on feedback. The delay in responding to the complaints at its Nashik campus is a systemic failure in implementing the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) policy, industry experts told Moneycontrol. Data over the past few years shows a steady rise in reported sexual harassment cases. TCS reported 125 complaints in FY25, up from 110 in FY24 and 49 in FY23, while earlier disclosures show 36 cases in FY22 and 27 in FY21 for India operations. The company has attributed higher reported cases partly to increased awareness. In FY25, 78 complaints were upheld, with 23 cases pending resolution at the end of the year. Complaints accounted for 0.06 percent of the female workforce, compared with 0.05 percent in FY24 and 0.03 percent in FY23. moneycontrol.com/news/business/…

@sardesairajdeep I am amazed that we do not hold the CEO accountable. How is it possible that this went on for 4 years without any escalation or whistleblowing beyond the HR system. Confidence to file FIR but not invoke whistleblowing. There is something more to this than meeta the eye!

TCS shocker: allegations of sexual harassment, coercion and religious conversion that need a proper inquiry and zero tolerance if found guilty . Did it require an under-cover police op for victims to speak out in a leading corporate? What was HR team doing?

@ShekharGupta Like most authors Anirudh overlays his ideological preferences in engaging with History. No reason to find fault with it, because all of History has been influenced by ideological preferences. Krishnan is no different. Hence both represent the 2 ends of the ideological spectrum

@ShekharGupta please publish this in @ThePrintIndia You are so used to publishing fake narratives because of very poor editorial oversight please redeem yourself by publishing this. By pushing such fakes you are hurting your reputations, today citizens will directly contradict such fake history by fake historians

@ShekharGupta I have read all his books & have notified it to him also. No problem with using secondary sources but the author has to be careful in understanding local nuances especially when the original sources are from literary works & the secondary source had literally interpreted them.

@ShekharGupta While I disapprove of Mohan’s manner of calling to attention the sweeping generalisations in Anirudh’s article, Krishnan’s article deserves to be read by those who have read Anirudh’s. Anirudh blurs the distinction between original & secondary sources in all his works.

I guess instead of having bowlers can we shift to bowling Mcs. How would you like a football or a hockey game between 2 high ranking teams having a score line of 18 - 12. Where is the balance between ball& bat? How is this a game of skill? @joybhattacharj @ashwinravi99

@MarioNawfal How did 2 C130s crash or have a malfunction in the air? Can C130s land and takeoff on rugged uneven terrain? If not how did 2 C130s land on one runway, even assuming there was a runway? Both possibilities- stuck on the ground and crashed without taking enemy fire are intriguing!

@MarioNawfal What am I missing. How was C130 on the ground without a runway or a landing turf. The question of not being to take off comes only if it is on the ground. Where were they refuelling. In the air or on ground? If in air, then did they crash? What happened to the refuelling plane?

What could possibly be the U.S. options in Iran? Most people jump from today to a full-scale ground invasion to seize Tehran, secure nuclear material by force, and destroy a supposed million-man army. That is shallow thinking. 🧵 President Trump has signaled a 10-day pause on energy infrastructure strikes (now extended to April 6). We are days into that timeline. The real questions are not just what has been done, but what options remain.

@FareedZakaria Your proposition that Britain in the past and US now is driven by moral reasons for imperial ambitions is contradictory. Hegemonic ambitions are not shaped by morality. Also to box China & Russia as revisionist & counter pose US as moralistic is at best Naive.

The US does not possess infinite political capital, bandwidth, military capacity or economic resilience. Every resource expended in Iran represents energy diverted from the true tectonic challenges defining the 21st century. My take:

@npandit @MichaelVaughan Pressure & one genius called Bumrah. No swing, No seam, No turn & no variable bounce. That is what is called a Patta - straight line Balls. After the 15th over when India was batting slower balls from seamers was effective. But 250 score against class bowlers is Book Cricket.

@ShekharGupta Bumrah! Because in a Book Cricket like game, where there was no “Match between Ball & Bat” on a Concrete runway only one bowler bowled around 8 RPO. He almost closed the game in the 18th over. This was like “Throw Downs & Range hitting Practice” This is no more a game of Skill

So who’s your man of the match today? Sanju Samson for 89 in 42 Or Bumrah for his 1/33 in 4 #INDvENG

This is more like book cricket. The bowlers have been rendered redundant. We can use a bowling machine. Other than Bumrah no one could bowl on that highway, which did not require the batters to use skill. Throw downs & range hitting. Not a “Match” @ashwinravi99 @bhogleharsha

@CricketopiaCom @beastieboy07 Will EPL pick Russian,North Korean, Somalian,Sudanese or Iranian players. Limit to hypocrisy. What was boycott of Moscow olympics! The harassment of Djoko in Australia. I am not for any discrimination or politicisation of sports. That cannot be selective.

I wish the experts like @bhogleharsha point out that the runs scored by Indian batters in bilateral were on Concrete runways. The same batters are found out in ICC tourneys on wickets that do a bit. Also Spin now is a challenge for Indian batters in all forms!
