The average person that’s never looked into this stuff will have no clue… but just to be honest with you the majority of coaches at all levels of sports actually have a very low level of understanding of how drills, restraints, cues, etc work when training their athletes. They just do drills “because that’s what my coach taught me” or something really common is you will see coaches super isolate a movement and to the average person that’s looks good and “Hell yeah he’s really focusing on that one thing”. But generally when you over-isolate one specific thing, that specific thing will not show up once that athlete is then put into a chaotic situation where he must react. I could write about this for years… but my message of the day is question every drill you see

Pad level is dependent on the length of each players limbs.. how they hinge/move..each has a diff pad level..a chute being set at 1 height doesn’t even drop center of gravity/pad level for most. Most just dip, they don’t keep power in the chute.. movement isn’t 1 size fits all
