I actually think my problem is that I really think the FPA was so much more interesting to explore than the empire. The idea of a flawed democracy fighting against the best possible autocracy is so interesting but they just completely dropped exploring that and what it means.

I hate saying this about a series I love so much, but what the hell happened with the second half of legends of the galactic heroes? It never got bad but it went from like a solid 10/10 masterpiece to like an 8/10. I’m actually like I can’t even be satisfied with the ending.
