Use PSSR 2 from 1080p and save 50% GPU render budget and get Pro owners some of those ray tracing or higher frame rates.

The Amount of people that think that people having an opinion about DLSS 5 are in a "war" of "AI lovers" vs "AI haters" is insane. DLSS 5 is not ready yet. Period. No even mentioning performance, Graphically wise, with the standard mode shown it looks bad in most cases and shows the same "Standard lighting" for every single scenario. NOW, it can evolve into something GOOD if tweaked and controlled to some extent. Remember this is a generative AI "filter" (confirmed by Jensen Huang), so it needs to be well tweaked, otherwise there will be lots of inconsistencies, especially regarding artistic visions, it is GENERATIVE AI after all. It amazes me how people who play games and watch movies don't know what a truly realistic face and lighting in games should look like. What’s shown in this video is very far from realism, even though it’s very 'pretty' and the facial animation is actually quite good.

"DLSS 5 is going to make it cheaper to make AAAA games" - Yeah right. Owners of dual 5090's are effectively invisible in the TAM required to support AAAA development. Technique won't scale to effectively all existing customers, thus will have zero effect on development.

Le DLSS 5 c'est pour me tuer là. A quoi ça sert de crée de l'art si c'est pour que la technologie chie en spray continu sur ton travail et que tu peux rien y faire. Ce secteur est vraiment bon pour la fosse commune, il mérite pas qu'on dorme pas au taff.
