If you actually understand how computers work, you will make a ton of money in this market . Nobody in Silicon Valley or Wall Street knows how chips work anymore. Google is taking half of Nvidia’s market share and market cap. But the real winner won’t be Google it’s going to be a startup that makes a better TPU and sells it to everyone..
Perplexity Finance@PPLXfinance

🚨BREAKING: Google’s TPUs Shook the AI Chip Trade $NVDA ↓ ~6% $AMD ↓ ~8% $ORCL ↓ ~5% $CRWV ↓ ~8% AI demand is fine. What’s changing is who sells the silicon. Anthropic and now Meta are both moving serious workloads onto Google TPUs. The market is repricing the AI chip trade — as Google TPUs start to look like a real alternative to GPUs.

a quick demo of this workflow I really recommend it, way faster than CLI agents
Taelin@VictorTaelin

btw I'm basically retiring CLI tools (like Claude Code, Codex, etc.). now, when I want an AI to do something, I just write a comment at the bottom of the file I'm at, like: // move parse_xyz functions to separate files and then I press space+key on VIM, where: - g selects gpt-5.1 - G seelcts gpt-5.1 (high) - i selects gemini-3 - I selects gemini-3 (high) - s selects sonnet-3.5 - S selects sonnet-3.5 (high) - ... etc ... this will call the refactor.ts script, which will combine: - the current file I'm editing - all files imported by it, recursively into a single prompt then, a faster model is called to omit irrelevant files this is meant to clean up context rot, which matters a lot rn finally, a slower model is called to perform the requested refactor, by omitting a series of and commands. my script will apply these commands to the file, and stop no interactive loop, just a quick request/response turn this covers 90% of the cases I'd use Codex etc. for, except it is easily 10x faster. all I need to do is go to the topmost relevant file in the dependency tree, write what I want to do as a comment in the end, and press 2 keys gemini 3 in particular thrives on this setup (I also heard it doesn't work so well on cursor and similar) ofc, agentic coding is still cool for its flexibility, and it covers way more cases, but it is way too slow to be used just for coding. waiting 1 minute is fine, waiting 30 minutes is disruptive. plus, I suck at multitasking. so, at least in 2025, this setup works better than CLI agents when you're sitting at your PC, looking at the screen if you wanna try, I just pushed that script as 'refactor.ts' on victortaelin/ai-scripts. it replaces the old 'holefill.ts'. sadly, for now, it only works for cpp-like imports ('# include ...'), so, you'll have to edit it to support your language... but I really recommend trying this workflow

I had jobs before like this, like a place where you can coast making low six figs a year until you retire. I wanted to kill myself. It’s not about money for me. I just want to be the best. Can’t be the best if you’re not being pushed and challenged it’s part of growth. Never get comfortable that’s when you’re finished.

Some of my friends and ex-colleagues have low-stress or ultra-safe engineering gigs. Part of me envies the chill lifestyle and “work-life balance.” But in an AI-driven tech economy, can you afford not to keep pushing your own frontier? Careers are long. Thoughts? #Engineering #CareerAdvice

@midpricedog @KrisAbdelmessih ^ haha yes, but i took it way too far and over optimized on curiosity / getting good at a job i don't have vs optimizing for interview prepping to get the job itself

Some help from the hive please College students will reach out asking how to get into the investment or trading industry. I don't have an answer other than on-campus recruiting. But that doesn't even address recent grads or early 20s trying to get it...

@experquisite ya. as jobs become more and more institutionalized and "templated", constraints have become much much clearer. So the fastest path to optima is now a path that can be walked backwards till birth. it increasingly feels that if you didn't start path early enough, its so over

Are young people generally trying to optimize their career more than we used to? I don’t recall being so fraught about what to work on lest my future be irreparably compromised, but I’m not sure if it’s a selection bias, in me, or the young people I am exposed to now, or what…

Went on my first date as a full NEET (been pseudo-NEET for a while). Dating aside, I've always been a secretive person (baddies read: MYSTERIOUS), but I'm good at small talk. I've always been a bad liar - usually not an issue - but ever since going full NEET I struggle to nonchalantly bs about what I do. As a pseudo-NEET it was easy to ramble about and play up what little work I did do. Anyways, the chemistry was instant and when we broach the subject of what we do I decide to go for the "I'm a sophisticated market actor" spiel. "Are u into crypto?" I freeze up. I know what I have to do. I have to lie. This is going perfect so far, I can't fuck this up. I love her so much. I assure her "I have no association with those clowns." To my surprise, she looks disappointed?! "I actually have some ethereum and NFTs, it's kinda fun." 🫨 I quickly pivot. "Oh yeah I've always been interested in blockchain, it just looks super sketchy. Wish I had someone to teach me more about it." Jackpot Fast forward 5+ drinks each and we're back at my place. I'm feeling loose and I finally start to divulge... "I'm actually a milady...." "STFU OMG NO WAY I FOLLOW A BUNCH OF MILADYS ON TWITTER. I LOVE CHARLOTTE FANG." We're both crying laughing. "So this is why ur so mysterious?" "Yeaaaggg u know how it is, niggas like me gotta lay low." The facade is gone I'm all in this is it. I love her so much. "Omg what's ur twitter I'm probably following u. Are u TokyoSunbather?! Holy shit you're TokyoSunbather!" "Lol no he's my friend, I'm RichardSmoker88." "Richard?" "Yeag." "Oh... I see." It's obvious she doesn't know who I am. It's so fucking over. I can tell she's uncomfortable now and seeking a way out but trying to be polite about it 🤍 omg she's so sweet I love her so much. She asks if I have any cigarettes and I oblige. We smoke on the balcony of my penthouse. The weather is perfect, she looks so beautiful under the moonlight. I love her so much 😭. She starts to check her phone incessantly. Says she has to go check on her dog. I know exactly what she's doing. I tell her I have +100 miladys. I can take care of her. I long for dynasty mindset 1000 years 10 sons. I'm looking for good strong wife. I just want to creampie in the same girl forever. She shakes her head and says she has to go. I am beside myself. She got the ick bc I wasn't TokyoSunbather.

@jtriley_eth maybe you can simulate some of these tx's? a lot fo the point of attacks against obfuscation isn't necessarily to untangle the code but understand what inputs lead to what outputs. break it down into blackboxes. dyanmic symbo execution, fuzzing, etc

@jtriley_eth oh man. there are typically common obfuscation patterns that pop up over and over again. typically obfuscation is built as ways to fight against static analyzers as you did. it may be GG if you do dynamic analysis. ghidra and ida pro are what ppl typically do on off-chain apps
