The amount of jealousy Europeans have for America is insane. It may be shielded in Euro-Confidence and arrogance, but the United States has overtaken Europe in just about everything. Europeans are like the girl in school who is jealous of the girl who became prettier than them over the summer. I honestly can't take Europeans seriously who have this ingrained "AMERICA BAD AMERICANS FAT" mindset that so many here have.. And I say this as a European. I wonder if Reform UK sought the express permission of parents, to use images of their children online? As a parent of a school age kid, I have to sign all sorts to give consent for this type of situation. This is a genuine safeguarding issue.

Considering that the land mass of Mississippi is 93% of that of England, I would say that comparing those two might be a bit more justified than comparing Mississippi to Manchester (considering that Mississippi is 1046 times larger than Manchester). Since it became known that the United Kingdom is poorer than even the poorest of American states, I have seen claims that we shouldn't concentrate on GDP Per Capita, that "quality of life" is the real measure of a societies success. This is copium at the highest level.

One thing this country is brilliant at is convincing young people they have no self- advocacy, that it’s all someone else’s fault. My son (with zero financial help) saved 30k in an ISA working at a UPS warehouse, then at 27 bought a house, got married and had a child. His wages now too low to support his family, his life, he then applied himself and after self training now works as a CNC programmer at an aerospace company. I understand that some through disability, illness and poverty won’t have this choice but a huge proportion who whinge and complain do.

One thing about this country is that we're severely addicted to punching down. God forbid you're poor, in part-time work or unemployed and dare to suggest the wage of your 'betters' would be life-changing

Compared to Bill Gates I live in poverty, compared to my grandfather I’m rich and we were both coal miners.

More wealth is currently held by the top 1% of society than at any point in history. That includes the French revolution where the poor revolted and murdered the hoarding 'elites'. Is this the reason most of us can't afford to live? No, it's the migrants obviously.
