You know who’s a perfect metaphor for the GOP? Scott Jennings. A pundit who mocks Trump with us during commercial breaks — but fawns over Trump when the camera is rolling. Brave enough to speak out… in the green room.

An HSA is basically a Roth IRA on steroids. But 99% of people aren't maximizing its full potential. Here are 6 benefits you need to know:

@fuqekgs If passing the boards was the only barrier to entry, we’d have far more doctors. Plenty are capable of passing the test

How would you know this? Have you been to both American AND international medical schools? Do you even know they have to pass the same tests as the Americans? The body is the body wherever you live
Amelia@ameliapond1969

@fuqekgs Ok, I’ll bite: because sometimes, oftentimes, their medical school education is subpar and does not compare to a U.S. medical school education. Sometimes it’s an aristocratic pipeline for the wealthy in their country where it’s partially self taught.

@BrentAWilliams2 If only the AMA didn’t create artificial scarcity to make US doctors the most overpaid doctors in the world. Illegal behavior in most industries

Absolutely love this six-year-old’s take on economics. Let’s play with it, shall we? You decide not to work? Household income: $65,000 ➡️ $40,000 So, $25,000 removed from the budget, spend, and taxable income. Fair enough! Now you just don’t have that money to spend on shops, coffee, meals out, trips, trains, etc. So what, right? You’re happy without stuff! Ah. Lots of businesses shut. So your husband loses his job. And her husband. And her husband. And her husband. Uhoh. So: $0. With babies. No! You tell me, women didn’t work before! Yes, and we were all poorer. Dramatically poorer. You’re not going back to a cosy trad fantasy. You’re going back to overcrowded housing, low wages, and limited opportunity. Two incomes didn’t break the economy. They ARE the modern economy. Sorry!

This went from normal to chaotic REAL fast… An Uber driver said everything was fine until he picked up one passenger who immediately seemed off. While he was on a hands-free call, she suddenly claimed she felt unsafe, called customer service, and even asked them to involve the police. Then it got worse… she refused to get out of the car, saying she was afraid he’d drive off with her package in the trunk. What started as a routine ride turned into a complete standoff. If you were the driver, what would you do in that situation, wait it out, or call the police yourself to remove her? And who do you think is actually in the wrong here?

@MaryBowdenMD You must not know how this works. US grads get first dibs. Outlying residencies that serve underserved parts of America are filled by immigrants and foreigners. We don't have enough medical schools to fill the residency spots.

@changingstar0 @justMizuyuki Yes, not permitting 10 years of appeals in more extreme situations would certainly reduce cost. And again, much of the cost is allocation of fixed costs, not incremental

@nmilesof @justMizuyuki “streamlining and reducing bureaucracy” is not some panacea that gets you to all your desired policy outcomes. You will not actually save that much money even if you were maximally efficient

@LisaBritton That’s because over the last 40 years education has shifted from applying concepts and problem solving, to simply rewarding organized task masters.

Boys are behind girls in education. We often hear “Boys need more recess!” or “We need all-boys schools!” but experts don’t know if these things will actually help because there isn’t enough research to support it. We need more research that actually measures boys separately so that we can effectively address the challenges facing boys and young men.

@SpenceDysonFSU @TrnsTraditional Many Arab and Asian countries as well, including Australia. Canada it’s also common. Simplifies cleaning, reduces UTIs, STDs and penile cancer. All well documented.

@nmilesof @TrnsTraditional Odd that it's only US and Jewish doctors that recommend it. Imagine thinking something that a boy is born with isn't necessary or even hazardous to the child. Utter nonsense.

@nmilesof @stabmarine @BoringBiz_ The Ivy League graduate has proven they can regurgitate information. A Staff NCO has proven they can lead, manage under extreme stress, and maintain accountability. One has a piece of paper; the other has years of operational experience. I’ll take the NCO's discipline over a GPA.
