This is a 2.5-minute clip of the then Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua threatening Kenya Kwanza MPs to vote for the Finance Bill.
Dear Wamunyoro bloggers, how quickly have you forgotten that all MPs from Mt Kenya voted for the Finance Bill, including your “sacred son” Ndindi Nyoro? In fact, he was the one who drafted it as the Budget and Appropriations Committee Chairman.
All Kenya Kwanza MPs voted for it, while all Azimio MPs opposed it.
No Wamunyoro blogger should lecture us about the Finance Bill. The only people with a moral standing to do so are the ODM MPs and Gen Zs.
The late Ol Kalou MP David Kiaraho voted for that Finance Bill, as instructed by his coalition principals, President William Ruto and then DP Rigathi Gachagua, It is not a crime!
We live in a democracy, and party discipline is vital.
And by the way, there was nothing wrong with the Finance Bill, we were just too emotional, and some people wanted to take advantage. All the bad & controversial provisions had already been struck out, In fact, It was correcting some awful policies that had been adopted in 2023 Finance Bill!

@chadbironga @Asamoh_ ASAL areas have unique character and specific nuances that should be reflected on the poverty index instruments. A multi -dimensional poverty Index is an apt tool but not conclusive either. An MPI pilot by KNBS placed Turkana at around 6th place in the poverty index.

In Mt. Kenya, when an MP dies, they are replaced by someone conversant with local politics, someone capable of continuing the legacy. They are not replaced by family members. It is only in Luo Nyanza where leadership appears to be inherited. Even the Kalenjin community has rejected that Nonsense. That is why, 62 years after independence, people in Luo Nyanza are still blaming other regions for their underdevelopment. They continue to perpetuate a cycle of corrupt leadership, while their leaders normalize blaming those from Mt. Kenya as scapegoats for their own corrupt dealings.
