Fascinating to watch the Conservative infighting revolve around criticizing speech. The Cons agenda is so anti-reconciliation, they can’t even invoke a free speech defence. BC cons are proof they have no principles anymore—it’s all reaction politics.

Fear. Thats what the Conservatives stand for. They understand the injustice the Crown inflicted on First Nations, they make up the worst case scenario in their mind, and then they sell the public on it.

In today’s joint statement with the First Nations Leadership Council, Premier David Eby has officially confirmed that his government will not introduce any legislation in this spring session to address the chaos DRIPA is creating for property rights and resource development across British Columbia. Instead, we are offered more talk, more collaboration, and yet another vague promise to consider action before the fall session. David Eby had an opportunity to show backbone and protect British Columbians. He chose weakness instead. The NDP’s reckless experiment remains fully in place, the court rulings continue to hang over us, and nothing has been solved. UBCM is also a registered society under the BC Societies Act. Also not a governing body. Also "just" advocacy orgs with member resolutions. Nobody calls it surrendering power when the province listens to UBCM. The double standard here is the tell.

British Columbians need to understand that the "First Nations Leadership Council" isn’t some sort of super First Nation legal body that has ultimate authority. It’s literally just a lobby group made up of three advocacy orgs: the Union of BC Indian Chiefs, the BC Assembly of First Nations, and the First Nations Summit. Mind you, none of these are actual governing bodies over B.C. First Nations or hold legal standing to speak on their behalf but the government is treating them like they're the de facto top of the chain authority. Two of these components groups are registered societies under the B.C. Societies Act. That’s it. They're not rights-bearing entities and they're definitely not the Jedi Council of aboriginals like they pretend. Eby is surrendering power over legislation to a lobby group.

🚨B.S. Alert! The establishment has been angry with me ever since I struck a historic accord to Unite the Right with Dallas Brodie to beat the NDP. Some are angry because I’m breaking the rules by saying the quiet part out loud - that conservatives must come together to win the next election. Others are angry because they’re liberals who know I mean it when I say I’ll NEVER let this party become B.C. United 2.0. The insiders are freaking out because they know their time is up. Let them panic. I lead with absolute clarity, and here is exactly what I’m going to do: ☑️I will repeal SOGI, DRIPA, and enshrine property rights into law. ☑️I fully support fast-tracking resource projects and building a new pipeline. ☑️I will bring back Merit-Based Hiring and end the NDP’s ideological DEI hiring practices. ☑️I will ban international donations to any organizations, like Coastal First Nations, who seek to influence our politics with foreign dollars. ☑️I will end the government’s compelled speech and mandatory land acknowledgments. ☑️And I’m the only candidate pushing back on mandatory digital ID and the only candidate opposing Ottawa’s MAiD expansion. And when it comes to Net Zero? I’m a builder. I’ve actually had to run businesses and meet a payroll in the real world. To survive and operate in B.C., job creators like me were forced to navigate a punishing web of green tape, carbon compliance, and arbitrary Net Zero mandates designed and championed by Caroline Elliott’s BC Liberals and furthered by the NDP. I know firsthand how damaging these forced costs are to our economy and that’s exactly why I’m running as a Conservative to fix this. And let’s set the record straight: All 5 BC Conservative Leadership candidates donated to the BC Liberal/United Party back in the day. I’m a Federal Conservative; I have NEVER donated to the Federal Liberals. Caroline Elliot is the only candidate who continued donating to BC United/Liberals during and AFTER the 2024 election while I had my name on a ballot as a Conservative candidate. I don’t care if Liberals say I’m not a Conservative. @Dallas_Brodie endorses me as a Conservative. @BruceBanman endorses me as a Conservative. @WarrenHamm endorses me as a Conservative. And I hope you will too, so we can unite the right, protect our Party, and defeat the NDP.

David Eby and the NDP have once again proven they are completely incapable of negotiating a real deal for British Columbians. The so-called Living Agreement they have introduced delivers no extinguishment of Aboriginal title. It forces mandatory ten-year reopeners and includes automatic “me too” clauses that allow the agreement to be endlessly upgraded as UNDRIP evolves. There is no finality and no certainty. This creates permanent uncertainty, higher costs for taxpayers, and future conflict for families and businesses in the region. This is textbook NDP incompetence and weak leadership. While Premier Eby celebrates, British Columbians are left with the bill and the chaos. As Premier, I will create certainty.
