Vancouver should become the next home of a Major League Baseball team. With the MLB publicly expressing interest in expansion in the near future, we see an opportunity to position our city as the next home for a franchise. This could be an opportunity to bring something truly special to Vancouver. An MLB team would be a significant step forward for our city and would create lasting memories for fans across generations.

I'm not a fan of ultimatums ("do this, don't do that), but try to listen to the message behind the noise - there's a lot of benefit to being young, you get to drink boba without needing to count calories, run a 10k with no training, don't let x tell you that you gotta "make it" now!

Don't start a startup in high school. What if it works? You'll lose the opportunity you'd otherwise have to explore random, interesting ideas, driven only by curiosity. Because while you will indeed learn a lot from a startup, you won't have any choice about what you learn.

We gave builders one brief: make Canada more self-reliant.

Turns out that's enough.
Teams pulled from Stats Canada datasets, dug into the government procurement portal, and built things that felt real, not just demo-ready, but actually usable.
Highlights: an AI that finds Canadian alternatives to your Amazon purchases, a Vision Pro app mapping Canadian import markets, and a procurement tool for small businesses trying to win government contracts.
Good room. Good energy. Good problems to solve.
