@tomfrench85 @danielgoyal @StephenFlynnSNP A lie repeated by everyone in the SNP, Flynn trotting it out tonight on the BBC QT, students in Scotland cannot get a place in Scottish universities because they have to take in so many overseas students to balance the books.

“Young people in Scotland have something that young people in England don’t - and that’s free university education”

The Anglo-state media are just beyond demented now.
The question is, what are the parties for YES going to do about it? Continue the squabbling about who can identify as a man/woman? Throw some mud back and forth around our personal favourites in Alec, Humza, Nicola?
We all have opinions. For example, Humza was not my choice for FM. Neither was the Alba lass. Not because of any dislike or other negative nonsense - I genuinely like the man - but simply because I felt we needed street fighters at this point in Scotland's journey, with an increasingly insane and rapacious Anglo-state. But he's now the FM, I'm not not going to support him. Indeed, I'll support him 100%.
The point is, my opinion here doesn't matter. Winning our political freedom does.
Do I think Alec Salmond was stitched up? Yes. Do I suspect he might feel let down by those he regarded as closest compadres? Yes. Do I think aspects of his personality probably enabled that? Probably. Do I care? No - not really - he was our best. And, in all honesty, my joint favourite Scots politician. With Nicola Sturgeon.
Do I think Nicola Sturgeon has been stitched up? Yes. Do I suspect she might feel let down by people she once regarded as brothers/sisters in a single cause? Yes. Do I care? No - not really - she was, also, a superb FM.
The barometer for both is easy - Westminster struggled with, and despised them both. That's what matters when you want to take the fight to an enemy like the media apparatus of the Anglo-state.
From debate to interview to panel on enemy turf, when either walked away having easily dismissed Anglo-state hacks, that's what mattered to me. The movement wins.
We all have differences. We've all got different opinions. And the YES movement has always has been a very broad church. We used to understand and accept that.
The point is, politics and true democracy exist to enable those differences of opinion, no matter how passionate, to be laid out in front of the citizenry of our country...
...it's just that we don't actually have a free country to enjoy anything like democracy whilst this 'union' persists.
The many arms of that Anglo-state actively interfere with our journey and, in the case of Scottish independence, wilfully manipulate our differences to attack the movement. Surely other people see this?
Arguing in our own ranks about personalities or specific aspects of policy - right now - will only ever play into the hands of those very people who control mass communications and broadcasting. And that's not us.
YESsers need to understand this. If the movement remains divided - a priority for the Anglo-state (I can assure you) then Scottish Independence is gone for decades, and potentially forever. If Labour get in, their #1 mission will be to defang the Scottish Parliament for Westminster, such that there's no real democratic mechanism to escape their clutches.
But there is a way to slam-dunk the vile machinations of Westminster. It requires only this:
- our leaders show some solidarity
- they begin to work and act together
- they do so with some aggression
- they do so with a zero tolerance policy for this media landscape (refuse interviews, insist on parity in debates)
Critically, the broader movement needs to challenge their media saturation with one voice. Harness the professional creatives and talent across the broader YES pool. Ideas and solutions. And never stop. Be relentless, as they are with us.
Remember, they've got nothing but lies and fear.
We've got truth. Namely the entirely normal wish for a democracy which reflects the wishes of our citizens - every time. Giving our people a voice on the small matters of...oh, I don't know:
- the climate challenge
- foreign relations
- our economic prosperity
- unwanted nukes on our soil
- energy futures
- genocide!
- going to actual f*****g war!
It took them 15-years to learn how to prise open and divide the YES movement. If we show solidarity, they will lose. They know this. That'd be a huge concern for them.
In short, don't play ball - it's their game. What's the worst that can happen? They'll run a negative headline!?!🤣
If the Scottish Government presented a cure for cancer and a new technology that took us to Mars in a day, they'd run negative headlines anyway!
There's literally nothing to lose here, their daily media vomit increasingly bears no resemblance to reality - just their own hateful space. And God knows, Anglo-state unionism truly draws some of the vilest, moronic characters into its ranks. Sectarian crazies. Orange order loons. Ex-BNP racist filth. They're all there.
And, as we've just witnessed, their smear factory has grown legs - they'll happily collude to try and destroy YES politicians. We know this. They rifle through bins. They pitch tents. They doorstep our best.
It's one rule for the vilest unionist politicians and establishment, and quite another for us. MI5 is a thing. British intelligence defending it's desired Anglo-state is a thing.
So....decide.
1 - Fight each other and get nowhere.
Or
2 - Drop the ego. Ditch the hubris. Let any anger you feel on whatever issue fall away. It's entirely meaningless without political independence. Prove me wrong!? There's plenty of time to fight it out in an independent Scotland, away from Westminster interference and their rancid media.
Just think about that! Think about the nationwide parties as we wave ta-ta to nukes. Or when we give the staff of The 'Scottish' Daily Express a special heartfelt send-off. Or when we send the fracking magnates packing. Or when Scotland is heard on the genocide in Gaza and on so many other matters where we can do our bit to at least try and make the world a better place.
That'd be...incredible. Wouldn't that all be worth it?
I'm talking to you @TheSNPMedia @TheSNP @AlbaParty @ScottishGreens and would appeal to our entire movement. It might be a dream, but I'm not embarrassed to state it. Do our leaders have the focus, the imagination, to knock on the door of the other?
What other way is there? Argue until Alba win an election...in 2040? 2045? Too late! Until the SNP magically attract every YES voter again...in 2040? Too late!
We need independence within the next 5-years.
Fight together, and let's get this over the f*****g line.

@KeithBishop64 @SarkyJackie Proving your ignorance right there Keith. A bit of research wouldn’t go amiss.
English

@SarkyJackie Surely the care of the horses is more important than proof they're OK? These aren't your normal race horses, when they're put down at the slightest injury

@PsychedeliaSmi4 @implausibleblog There’s four of you in the family, Mum overworked and weak, Dad probably with a disabling ailment, son and daughter. Who are you sending? Also- the ones left behind are fine? Nah, probably being bombed love.
English

Hmmm it's really strange that the only 'desperate' ones are fit young men though isn't it? They're somehow the only ones being persecuted and the families they leave behind are absolutely fine..?
Nobody with any decency, and this goes for Liddle too, begrudges helping people who are genuinely fleeing for their safety or their lives, but pretending that the tens of thousands of immigrants piling into the UK weekly are somehow refugees is a mountain of bullshit so large you could open ski resorts on it.

Lady in white, "Where is your humanity because asylum seekers are desperate. Why would you cross in a small boat risking your life if you weren't completely desperate? And I think vilifying the charities looking to help these people is sick and twisted" #BBCQT
Rod Liddle, "People die having been encouraged to cross the channel"
Lady in white, "You aren't encouraging them to cross the channel. But the charities are helping them when they're here because they're human beings"
Rod Liddle, "Saying they're human beings doesn't absolve us from trying to solve the problem"
Lady in white, "You can solve the problem and treat them with humanity as well. You can do both things"

@ScotNational It's not Penny's fault his brother died, the blame for him and the thousands of others lies fairly and squarely with Nicola Sturgeon

@SpawnofJustice @haughey_clare This is about humanitarianism not ratings .
English

@haughey_clare So, Clare - if the SNP amendment is carried in the HoC today, how quickly thereafter do you expect the Israelis to put into effect the unilateral ceasefire which is being demanded? And more importantly perhaps, how are you hoping it will play for the SNP's dire poll ratings?
English

Michael Shanks would rather fall in line behind Sir Keir Starmer than do the right thing – which, btw, is what our shared constituents are asking from us – and vote for a ceasefire. Spineless. Shameful.

@Glenlyon17 I have never been aware of Caledon radio. Thanks for highlighting 👍

Who'd have thought @carolvorders would be giving the Tories more stick and holding the twats to account more than most Labour MP's. I never used to pay her much attention - but now I'm a big fan - You?

English

@GillKFerguson @HumzaYousaf These marches contain many Hamas supporters. That should be enough.
English

Fully support the principled stance of Scotland's First Minister, @HumzaYousaf. How can marches to express opposition to the slaughter in Gaza; to call for a ceasefire, be hate marches? From the start, he has shown great strength, despite opposition; and much-needed humanity.👏
The National@ScotNational
NEW: Humza Yousaf has said that pro-Palestinian marches in London on Armistice Day should go ahead. He added that describing them as 'hate marches' is 'unacceptable' and that he was 'beyond angry' at the UK Government's response to the planned demonstrations.
English

@PerfidiousAlbn @HumzaYousaf @ginadavidsonlbc @LBC Absolute nonsense. Sit the fuck down Joe and have a wee think about what’s going on.
English

@HumzaYousaf @ginadavidsonlbc @LBC "Scotland will be on the right side of history and of humanity." - What total narcissistic sanctimony. He thinks this conflict is about him. Whatever side of history Scotland is on, it doesn't involve running propoganda-ops for Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
English

30 days of bombing, over 10,000 dead, including 4,000 children.
If you are not calling for an immediate ceasefire, you are frankly enabling the suffering of so many innocent people.
Scotland will be on the right side of history and of humanity.
