AI demos all try too hard to be fancy and impressive We wanna just focus on it being the most seamless, simple, & friction free It turns out it helps to have both the OS and hardware to pull off super buttery smooth AI UX We don’t even call it AI We just call it mAgic Ink Only on daylight. Comment below if you want to beta test.

been waiting to talk about this... for the last 5 years i've been dreaming of leveraging design futures and speculative processes to explore the future of technology. this year i'm focusing full time on design research & creative technology: how speculative design can shape better tech outcomes. more words and ideas to come
Andrea Fanelli@andrea_fanelli

We need more design fiction Speculative products make the future tangible. They help us set direction, and see how people react Let's fund artists, filmmakers, designers, technologists and writers to imagine optimistic futures They’ll make them real

Thanks for the overwhelming amount of people saying kind and nice words. I'll make a longer post at some point but for now just know I'll be taking a break but will be looking to work in the dota scene again. Whether that's casting or coaching I haven't decided yet.

@sonovawolf Ooooh I’m solidly on team D though They need to make this map, but stagger it a bit for fairness. The D segment is extremely stacked.

I bet Raycast will be acquired within the next year. It’s an amazing product, team and platform but as a business it seems tough for them.

@svlleyy Wow, thank you! I never thought anyone actually read these. They were mostly me writing for myself.

Vertical tabs are available in the "View" menu and you can quickly toggle between the two layouts with ⌘⇧S. It was a joy building this with @charliedeets and tons of other folks on the @browsercompany team who brought this to life. Enjoy!

Thanks to Dia's new lightweight architecture, the interactions you do hundreds of times a day in the sidebar are FAST. Opening and closing tabs feels instant. All these saved milliseconds really add up to a better experience.

@RamaswmySridhar I wish you could bring Neeva back. There's an audience now for paid search engines. And it's more important than ever.

@asallen The fascinating thing here though is Jony truly believes that: - “everything I have learned over the last 30 years has led me to this moment” - Sam is a singular (and almost prophetic) figure

I wonder if you can make the case that good CEOs are almost always good interviewers. This is because good CEOs should be good listeners (not just yappers), and they should be good facilitators (to enable others around them).

There’s this idea, especially expressed by Groene and the Surface team, that in an era of software, you really have no idea what people will use your product for. The most you can do is making a versatile tool and trust that people will then make cool things with them

It’s interesting that both Jony Ive and Ralf Groene refer to themselves as toolmakers

@linear On the mobile app, is it possible to not display sub issues? There is a setting for this on desktop, but not sure if there's one on mobile

@NotionMail Are multiple Gmail accounts within 1 Notion Mail account a future feature? Or will it never be possible by design?

With the read.cv news, I'm scared about the future of @retrodotapp Small software, no matter how considerate and well-intentioned, will eventually be sold or shut down if it is vc-funded
