@nedstarksheart @ehansalytics @froydinger @todayyearsold I don’t believe that’s correct. Pay masks your actual card number with a number of its own, unique to the enabled device. Eg your iPhone has different card number to your Watch, etc. it doesn’t use a unique number to mask each and every transaction

@evanvocalist @tabanger @DEADLINE to clarify it even more. If anyone in sagaftra has a pre existing contract from before the strike began, they can still fullfill it and wont be considered a scab. But they may need to still get the exemption approved by the union as well. Its very much a case by case situation.

@evanvocalist @DEADLINE Game show hosts are covered under the Network TV Code agreement, which has a contract in place until next year, and so are not on strike.

@DEADLINE How would they even be able to do the show? Are Ken and Mayim not SAG-AFTRA as game show hosts?

@ninlive @brianblank Amadeus Pro can batch convert the bit/sample rates while preserving the metadata tags.

@brianblank I use Adobe Audition and you can batch convert in a blink of an eye. But the tags don't merge over and usually I have to tag everything anyways to make it match the archive. Also Max for Mac or XLD. Good converters, whatever you want. They all do the same!

I have a question about how I preserve recordings on the archive. Do people like when I create a 16 bit and 24 bit versions of each recording (if possible)? Or are you ok with just having the highest quality versions for download? Please vote :)

@JohnAdamsGA @rob_sheridan I have a Centronics to PowerBook-proprietary SCSI cable, which I'm not sure I've ever actually used, because I'm certain that if I throw it away, I will somehow, suddenly need it next week.

@rob_sheridan I hear you. I have 2 drawers in the kitchen & 3 huge boxes in the garage filled with cables. I keep the boxes right next to an overhead projector and an old-school paper cutter. And a camcorder from 1998. Whether or not there is a compatible memory stick or cassette somewhere. 🤷‍♂️
