Relationships are never 50/50

Most resentment comes from lack of appreciation, unclear expectations, and one-sided perception.
There needs to be balance in how we talk about relationships that both men and women are participating in
Men aren’t the only ones carrying weight, women are also managing bills, childcare, household responsibility, and often contributing to the mental health of their families.
The problem isn’t effort.
It’s when we stop seeing each other’s effort.
And the messaging online is designed to put one sex against the other…

The idea that marriage should be an equal partnership sounds good in theory, but in practice, its unrealistic.
Men are expected to do a lot:
plan dates, give gifts, initiate intimacy, be romantic, , provide emotional support, control his anger, listen, reassure, resolve conflicts, and even fix issues like a dead bedroom.
On top of that, there are practical responsibilities:
providing financial stability, handling plumbing or electrical problems, dealing with pests, and fixing things around the home.
At the same time, they’re expected to be patient and understanding of her
mental health struggles, emotional burdens, unhappiness, postpartum challenges, personal issues, cravings, and childcare demands.
When you step back and look at it, does this really feel like a balanced partnership or more like the ma. carrying the weight that used to be shared by a whole “village”?
And if you miss even one of those expectations, you risk being labeled as heartless, emotionless, or as not caring about your woman. Keep listening to women. They see you as their superior in theory.

Men aren’t built this way and the sooner these women accept it the better. As the wife you should be the planner and in charge of most errands. If that’s too much mentally for you because you also work a full time job maybe you should admit something about female nature and gender dynamics instead of trying to force a man into the same role as you. Like maybe when she repeated “men just don’t get it” for the tenth time she would’ve caught on by then. No, they don’t get it bc they aren’t wired that way. No amount of tiktok videos and lectures will change that. So just go buy the freaking milk yourself

During covid I extended our deck and installed a fire pit area in our backyard, all while a brisket was smoking or cookies were baking.
I'm a very capable adult.
