@BrandonChekkers @PowerGotNow @tyclipsvid Yeah I mean day one the game speed was amazing. I so understand I play on a 6'8 primarily, but again in the beginning of this games life cycle, I felt very smooth running around the court. Feels like each update they're bringing the speed down.

Hot take: 2K26’s biggest issue is how ratings barely matter anymore. Most of the problems people complain about come down to the lack of separation. An 85 three shouldn’t be fading from 3, but maybe a 99 should. A 50 steal shouldn’t get many steals, but a 99 should get a lot of them. A 90 ball handle shouldn’t lose the ball running into traffic, but a 50 should. Right now, the game feels like it treats everyone’s limits the same no matter their rating. Watch someone play without seeing the ratings, and you’d struggle to identify who’s built what. If a 99 three-point shooter and an 80 both green fades at similar rates, then ratings aren’t doing their job, they’re just numbers on a screen. That is exactly why those with high ratings feel cheated on their builds.

@Khisenberg @lgymo Do you think lanes were touched in this past update? Because prior to this season I was way more consistent grabbing lanes than I am now

If I could just stop tipping every pass with 94 Steal Legend Interceptor and steal boosts, 2k26 would be an amazing 2k

@BrandonChekkers @PowerGotNow @tyclipsvid I just really miss fast gameplay. I feel like game speed throughout the years just get slower and slower. 18 19 and even 20 were all faster games by a wide margin than anything made since 2k21.

@NoTravelCalls Im more concerned with game speed right now as opposed to fades. I feel you can still fade from 3 with takeover if times properly. The speed of offense and defense has severely tanked and I have no idea why. Also defense is a joke right now which is honestly really sad.

honestly the game should always be fun over competitive. patch 1 of #NBA2K26 the was genuinely such a good time , the game is solid now but the fun got taken out , which for a video game isn’t a good direction.

@PowerGotNow @tyclipsvid The system where you choose and assign your ken badges will not make for different playstyles, people will pick the meta badges and use them and everyone will have the same, we need to go back to 2k19 where you pick your playstyle and get badges based on that

@BADGEPLUG I just genuinely don't understand the plate system to begin with. It proves nothing and if you really think about it, what's the point of having ranked modes in pro am if you're just going to have plate statuses determine who you play in unranked modes.

Took 15 minutes to get a game with 5 red plates in REC but we shouldn't change that at all cause then that would be me just wanting to play bums🔥

@kavi_kaze @Koza2k_ Idk how they go from the blitz system that they've had for several years now to this. Like how could they not figure it out when they had the system pretty perfect just last year?

@Koza2k_ I salute the dev team for being active on these issues but they just need to make blitzes/steals actually work. I don’t feel like people should be dropping the rock for no reason tho. Idk how they can balance it.

I’m team patch 2.0 over 2.1 for the escape patch ngl but I’m hoping there’s a happy middle in the future. Just hate fake comp brain dead dribbling being rewarded. The games definitely more fun now it just sucks playing against somebody abusing the escape into someone over and over. If they soft buff fades again I might have a mental breakdown live with a face cam bc I’m still fading from 3 now and if they buff that it’s Ggs.

@TheyBeLikeSWAG @BearDaBeast23 Honestly bro even your average back end that understands pro am concepts can make those kinds of defensive plays. You just have to watch competitive pro am on a regular basis to know what I mean. But yes against your regular Joe in the rec, this stuff may absolutely work no doubt

Very very very rarely. But these guys in the video ain’t that skill level, I’m sure you can tell. Against them it’ll work

@TheyBeLikeSWAG @BearDaBeast23 As much as I agree with these concepts in principle in real life, pros in the pro am circuit have better reflexes and anticipation for passes and steals that a normal player would never dream of attempting. They also get away with cheating off of players more.

@TheyBeLikeSWAG @BearDaBeast23 A professional back end will play several different lanes and angles to force you to make a bad choice. A pf with legend interceptor can literally grab steals from the paint when the pg throws it from the midrange to the corner like you just have to experience a professional bro

@Bzy2k I agree other positions were useless, my main gripe is with dribble moves being taken out the game. Plucks are a little overkill but I can adjust.

@xPureFlow All I’m saying is, before this patch, this was a guards game. It’s always kinda been like that, but corners/centers/locks were legitimately useless last week. The game is providing some balance to where you don’t gotta sit and watch your guard combo all game now it’s problem?

Ngl there’s nothing wrong with this being patched. That’s mad fucking cheesy c’mon. I get the patch is upsetting but removing shit that you can spam over n over again like that to get open is needed. Locks shouldn’t have to chase you all 24 seconds because you can SPAM a move

PG’s. If steals are OP now I got an idea. Quit crying and call bucks, reset, or fake bucks. How about a catch and shoot? GOOD PG’s find ways to get themselves going, play call for team, find catch and shoot for themselves. Quit crying locks haven’t been able to guard all year

@TheyBeLikeSWAG @BearDaBeast23 Try that, the swing cancels the rotations and just sits in the midrange. Plus they can run the rotation early and the corner that dropped can meet the C at the midrange. There is quite literally no way to break it aside from a pg middy fade.

The PG would have to throw the pass early enough so that the C catches the ball as he's about to leave the 3 point line. And regardless at that point if you are going to
