So cannabis passed the House, now what? 1) Senate takes up and passes the bill. Perhaps today, maybe over the weekend. This time of year, timing at the Legislature is fluid and hard to predict 2) Governor signs the bill 3) on August 1, it becomes legal to possess cannabis!

4) Starting right away, we will begin the process of expunging tens of thousands of cannabis convictions. But it took 50 years to create all those convictions, and it will take months, even years, to complete this process.

@zackstephenson When can the existing medical operators sell into the adult use market? Is it immediate or do they need to apply for the dual adult use-medical license?

@zackstephenson @Lindsey_Port What state emergency authorized med dispos to sell recreationally. There should be framework for that to happen sooner than originally planned. Do it by online ordering only? Allow for Medical patients to shop.

@zackstephenson What’s the test for determining how “stoned” someone is while driving? Oh, that’s right, there is no test yet for that. Everyone involved with passing this is responsible for every driving death caused by pot…Not any different than drunk driving.

@zackstephenson Sec 9 on personal use has no effective date specified as others do (e.g. Sec 2) so that should mean possession is legal when the bill is signed by Gov. If not, where is effective date for sec 9 stated?

@zackstephenson Why not until August 1? Shouldn’t it be legal starting when the governor legalizes it?
