Where does he think Tax payers money comes from? 🤷
ClarksonsFarm@ClarksonsFarm1
There’s no such thing as 'Government funded', everything is Tax-payer funded.

@OldCodgerLeague @wilf_oh_wilf @bentleykarl @Tesco Tescos will not hire people on anywhere close to full time contracts and have not for years. The full timers they do have have been there years and are targeted for dismissal so they can hire 2-3 part timers in their place. Is Tescos to blame? They only do as other employers do.
English

@wilf_oh_wilf @bentleykarl @Tesco Where do you get that from? Please show your sources of information.

If @Tesco paid it's store workers a decent wage then why are so many on universal credit huh? 🤷♂️
English

@GrumpyOldGit5 @AndyPeacock999 @BladeoftheS @Hazzreid Neither of these are actually true - many cannot afford to choose anything except the most basic food and some need foodbanks. While reliability is getting more precarious every day. But I guess you don't care for facts....
English

@AAMVN @AndyPeacock999 @BladeoftheS @Hazzreid The current free market system provides reliable food, and choice that people can afford. Why the fuck would you let government near it ?
English

@BriefcaseMike No recent employees in my store have received full time contracts. Drivers sometimes get a 32 hour contract. Default is 16 hours, some work 12 or fewer. It is hard to find anyone employed in the last 10 years who is on over 20 hours a week. This is the choice of Tescos. Not us.
English

@BriefcaseMike Tesco employee - need UC to get by. Can't increase my part time contracted hours - overtime comes and goes and due to paying tax/NI and losing 55p/£ in UC for every pound I earn get a net £2.15 per hour of OT worked!
English

Some brass neck for the Tesco boss to complain about the cost of welfare when many of Tesco's lower-paid employees have to top-up their incomes with Universal Credit. #LBC
English

@BladeoftheS @Hazzreid Is there any compelling reason why the supermarkets shouldn't be nationalised?
English

@Deathisreal99 @Vicktor1111 @BriefcaseMike no - we cannot work full time. Tesco is shedding full timers and hiring 2-3 part timers in their place.
English

@Vicktor1111 @BriefcaseMike They could work 40 hours a week if they wanted.

@CraigMurrayOrg I'm able to see it too with no sign in - I am in the UK but my VPN says Finland...

Somebody put this up on Youtube yesterday.

Great news! I have received full approval from the Government of Venezuela to go and give you the truth from the ground.
I need a new panama hat and a new notebook, then I'm off.
Craig Murray@CraigMurrayOrg
I am frustrated in getting to Venezuela. It is not sensible in current circs to go without establishing bona fides first. It nearly went horribly wrong in Lebanon. But obviously senior people far too busy to help me at the moment. I keep trying.
English

@DGClarke1 @SteReid4 @ghost_wales @Tesco Even when working 36.5 hours a week - which almost nobody at Tescos on hourly pay can - I received UC....We get £12.64 outside London. A few pence more than others. Morrisons are quite far behind us at just over minimum wage [£12.21].
English

@AAMVN @SteReid4 @ghost_wales @Tesco How many hours a week do you work?
If you're not working full time, and topping up your income with UC, then the taxpayer is funding your idle time.
How does Tesco hourly rate compare with others in the grocery business, e.g. Morrisons
English

@SteReid4 @ghost_wales @Tesco I work for Tescos and you are broadly correct. Many Tescos employees have to claim in work benefits to survive. I am one of them. I can't provide a percentage but it is a large proportion.
English

@ghost_wales @Tesco No problem with making , but when half their staffs wages need subsidised by the taxpayer it's wrong.
English

@CraigMurrayOrg I was able to attend and found it fascinating. I recommend the youtube video of the event which is high quality and unedited.

@clairebubblepop Agreed - but it's over 30 years of Tory government with a 13 year hiatus while Labour did too little to undo the damage. I miss the 70s and the hopes I had for my life and the country. Some of my disappointments are down to my choices - but things could have been so much better!

@danielgoyal PR is the first and easiest step to save Labour and the country. Sure - we may end up with a few more Reform MPs but not enough to be a problem and the more they are challenged in Parliament the more they will be seen for who they are. PR is necessary but far from sufficient.
English

@louisecoatesuk @joncoop194 @clairebubblepop Partly - up to a limit which is arbitrarily decided and not nearly enough to meet the real market rents for even the cheapest accommodation - in my area at least.
