This interface is actually hilarious. It doesn't follow any of Microsoft's current design guidelines and is such a poor use of screen real estate. I hope with the company refocusing on craft, it's able to give the install and recovery screens a freshed interface that more closely aligns with Windows 11's design language

@kmcnam1 Friend got their email broken into, couldn't recover it. Microsoft didn't respond to request until 6 MONTHS after and just straight out suspended the email account instead. Meanwhile Steam recovered their account in less than a day!!

@notnulldev @ThePrimeagen Even Enterprise web apps are slower than its native counterpart, take Notepad++, Sublime text compared to VSCode for example.
Web apps has a lot more layers to render a square, a lot more IPC to do before it can talk to the GPU

@AlwaysGameDev @ThePrimeagen It works better than many native apps for me. Maybe not the "not native" part is usually the problem but react doing 500 dom diffs in js, forcing rerenders and fighting with browser renderer?

A new team at Microsoft will rebuild apps using native tools like WinUI. Engineer Rudy Huyn is involved in this shift.
