Items such as weapon chips and implants have a more distinct look now! There are also some UI Improvements for the Currencies. #Marathon

Bungie's Principal Comms Manager pre-blocked me. I've never interacted with his account. Apparently pointing out that PlayStation wasted $3.6 billion on Bungie is enough to get you blocked by the people whose job it is to manage the narrative.

Erika Kirk leaving the scene

I will defend the holy Frag grenade until the day I die. The holy Frag has been abused since the dawn of FPS games. And it will reign supreme until the end times. You don't need to aim or have skill. You can just throw grenades! It's EASY! Not everyone is a pro you know. That being said we have no in game counter to some wannabe Security Officer with an arm like Randy Johnson throwing an entire backpack worth of Frags into a small room with fragile bodies in it. Have you ever heard of the nadeshot? Real pros should be doing that for the clips but here we are. Feedback from this unc. Ideas for the future. @MarathonDevTeam @Ziegler_Dev 1. We need some sort of explosive resistance consumable for our shells. Preferably something like the Anti-Virus where you consume it, and get the effects UNTIL you get hit. It wouldn't be strong and last an entire fight. You would need to rebuff yourself to apply the resistance. It would save you from 1-2 explosions depending on range, blast radius etc. This is a simple game changing step to move forward with grenades not becoming less powerful. Which gives players a nice boost against other Runners and UESC explosive damage. The holy Frag Grenade must live on. 2. Get rid of grenade barters. This is gonna be unpopular but I think we need a limit on some barters, not just grenades. The gap between endgame loot farming, combined with the sheer amount of endgame materials that are received stacks the entire endgame meta. To a degree where someone like me who is at that stage, yet doesn't have a consistent team so I am far far behind, is miles away from your average endgame player because I play solo most of the time. That being said the amount of Ganglion barters for the rarest items in the game where you can buy an unlimited amount really needs to be brought more in line with the balance of an extraction shooter imo. Even if you have the mats, there is no world where you should have an unending supply of WSTR, MIZY, ARES, or any other gold mods/shields/etc that completely offsets the premise of escaping with the best loot in the game to secure it. It's ridiculous man. I am not even saying that because I am not there yet lol. Having access to the fun stuff should be there, it should just have a limit (3 a day maybe?) and that's all you can buy. Having no risk to bringing your 'best gear' because they have a vault full of them does not feel right. Seeing ppl with 30 Bully gold mods because they had a barter one day is unhealthy for the endgame meta in every way, shape and form. Period. 3. Runners. We need an explosives expert E.O.D. Shell. Someone that boosts their team with explosive resistance and crazy hardware resist. That has a demolition kit with a very offensive Prime, and a very defensive Tactical. I won't fantasize what those may do but the obvious one is giving a 40%ish resist to explosives for the whole team for 25 secs. Give it a fair cooldown. It is supposed to be used to survive a push or get out of a spot rather than tank 10 nades and wipe the other team. I personally think that all of the things that are strong in Marathon are strong for a reason and should stay that way. Players need to adapt to that and let egos go when they are dying to cheesy shit. There also needs to be balance. Finding that balance takes time but BEFORE the game went live in March, I felt it was well balanced, yet people will always find a way to abuse what is strongest. Such is the meta. I feel many of the pain points over a season should be addressed after careful consideration of both endgame and midgame players. Some of the patches feel rough ngl. Each one seems to make the servers less stable I find. I am rubberbanding off ladders and getting teleported by UESC when they punch me. These hot fix patches to calm down the community don't seem healthy. Please take care when you are making changes because the one's that are the loudest are not the one's that are most effected by those global changes to the sandbox. The endgame is supposed to be excruciatingly brutal. Keep it that way please. If you made it this far thanks for reading my long winded rant.
