📍 Day 1 | 5 July 2026 👋 Hi, I'm Dom from 🇬🇧. By day, I work in Investment Strategy Outside of work, I'm building towards financial freedom through investing. I've set myself one goal: 🎯 Build a £1M investment portfolio by 2035. My approach is simple: 🏗️ Broad market ETFs as the foundation. 📈 High conviction stock positions. ₿ A growing crypto allocation. ⏳ Let time and compounding do the heavy lifting. I'll be sharing: ✅ Portfolio updates ✅ Wins & mistakes ✅ Lessons learned ✅ The journey, as it happens ⛔ No hype. ⛔ No shortcuts. ⚠️ Nothing I share is financial advice. Always do your own research. Just one person documenting the journey to a £1M portfolio. If you're building long term wealth too, I'd love to have you along for the journey. 🤝

@QuietWealth_UK @KobeissiLetter This is why I keep the bulk of my money in an ETFa. Stock picking can outperform, but you also have to avoid the losers. The index quietly does that work for you over time.

@KobeissiLetter 31% of EBITDA gone to interest and people still think stock-picking small caps is the safer alternative to an index fund. VWRP holds the winners and the walking wounded, and still comes out fine either way.

US small-cap companies are facing a massive interest burden: Interest expense now accounts for 31% of EBITDA in Russell 2000 firms, the highest in at least 6 years. This percentage has more than doubled since 2020. By comparison, S&P 500 companies now carry interest expense equal to 6.7% of EBITDA, down from 9.5% in 2020. This comes as ~30% of corporate debt in Russell 2000 companies is tied to floating rates, compared to ~7% for the S&P 500. Meanwhile, a near-record ~40% of small-cap companies in the index remain unprofitable. Small-cap firms are in desperate need of lower rates.

@TheRonnieVShow Def looks interesting on paper, but "massively undervalued" may be a big claim. In mind I think sometimes a low multiple is an opportunity, sometimes it's the market pricing in risks. That's the part worth digging into.

@SabrinaLop22052 This is why I keep a watchlist. You don't need to own every winner, you just need conviction in the few you do own. Chasing every stock that's already doubled is a fast way to underperform.

@alecscrypto1 It's funny how every Strategy sale is supposed to crash Bitcoin... yet the market keeps absorbing it. Im thinking demand is clearly a lot deeper than many people give it credit for.

It depends on your strategy. A 10% annual return on a $10k portfolio gets you there, but the bigger lesson is that your savings rate matters far more than stock picking in the early years. Focus on building the portfolio first, then let compounding do the heavy lifting. Or you could have invested in Beyond Meat in its prime haha

What most people don't tell you is to make $1,000 in the stock market, you need a $10,000 portfolio. Do you agree?

@LukeSimpleDiv I like SoFi, but $50 feels like a stretch unless they absolutely smash earnings over the next few years. If they keep executing, I think they'll surprise a lot of people, but I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than anchor to a price target.

@FluentInFinance These grab headlines, but context is super key. A lot of these companies are replacing low-return roles with AI, automation and higher-value engineering talent. Painful for those affected, but it doesn't automatically mean the businesses are getting weaker.

@TFInvests It's funny how the milestones get you. £3.5k today, then you're chasing £5k, £10k and beyond. Looking back, the hardest part wasn't making returns, it was just getting started and staying consistent.

£3,500 mark hit🥳 My account has been sitting at £3,480 since last Thursday and it’s been bugging me!🤣 £20 into $VWRP The dopamine seeing your money stack up is insane! If I only I told myself this 4 years ago when I turned 18!

@YodaStockInvest it's $TSLA. If I couldn't touch it until 2030, I'd back the company with the biggest upside from AI, autonomy, robotics and energy. It'll probably be the most volatile choice too, but that's a trade-off I'd happily accept over the next five years

If you had to buy 100k of a stock and not touch it until 2030, which would you buy? My answer is obvious😂

@LongGameEquity The key isn't just breaking $19, it's staying there. Too many stocks poke above resistance only to get rejected. If SoFi can turn $19 into support, then I can definitely see the bull case for $25.

@FinancePotentia That's exactly why I don't pay too much attention to their sells. There are a hundred reasons to sell, but usually only one reason to buy. Microsoft's execution hasn't changed, and it's still one of the highest quality businesses on the planet in my opinion.

Still wondering why Congress kept selling $MSFT? 2026 MAG7 performance: 🥇 $GOOGL +17% 🥈 $AAPL +15% 🥉 $AMZN +6% … Last: $MSFT −20% This is why you should pay attention. 👀

in 1992 a tiny Dutch company nearly went bankrupt. started in a leaky shed next to a Philips office. today $INTC, $TSM and $SMSN can't make a single advanced chip without it 🤯 from a shed to a 100% global monopoly $ASML - the greatest comeback nobody talks about 🇳🇱

@JE_Investing It's been on my watchlist for a while and this is deffo a much more interesting level, BUT I still can't shake the feeling there's a bit more downside before I'd be comfortable putting fresh money to work.

This sector feels like one of those sectors that's becoming a necessity rather than a choice. As AI adoption grows, the attack surface grows too. I wouldn't be surprised if this remains one of the strongest long-term investment themes over the next decade. $PANW has been sat on my watchlist for a while now....and ive just not followed thru with my homework on it!

Cybersecurity has been one of the biggest winning themes of this cycle. 🚀 Just look at the returns since the bottom: 👇 $PANW +148% 🟢 $CRWD +134% 🟢 $FTNT +112% 🟢 $RBRK +102% 🟢 $S +56% 🟢 $NET +55% 🟢 Remember when people were calling the entire cybersecurity sector overvalued before this massive run? The AI era only increases the need for cybersecurity. Stop sleeping on this sector!

My plan: £1 a day into the Magnificent 6. $MSFT $AMZN $META $NVDA $ASML $GOOG (chosen by me…) 💰 Just £180/month spread across some of the biggest companies shaping AI, cloud computing and the future of tech. Nothing fancy. Just buying consistently and letting time do the heavy lifting 🚀

With all the headlines about custom ASIC chips and new competitors, you’d think $NVDA’s moat is being chiseled away. But when you look at the actual numbers, a very different picture emerges: $NVDA’s share of the inference market is still increasing. Trading at a forward PE of 21x cheapest valuation in 5 years the stock is looking like an absolute not brainer here.
