The vessel is among a small group of Western ships approved, as more than 1,000 vessels remain waiting, with crossings tightly controlled via an IRGC-monitored route.

Hormuz Traffic Rises to Highest in Weeks as More Transits Agreed
Traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has risen to its highest levels since early in the war, as countries secure safe-passage arrangements with Iran.
A total of 21 ships transited over the weekend, including 13 outbound to the Arabian Sea. Iranian vessels still dominate, though exemptions allowed Iraqi and Indian shipments to pass.
While volumes remain well below the prewar daily average of about 135 ships, more nations — including China and Japan — are resuming crossings.
