clarity act proposes banning all passive yield on USDC. circle equity already down 17%. but $40b+ in USDC sitting in aave, compound, morpho, curve yield vaults hasn't flinched. that lag is the trade. when depositors start front-running a potential ban, DeFi borrowing rates go vertical and protocol liquidity collapses. tether operates outside US jurisdiction so USDT becomes the only yield-bearing dollar in DeFi. USDC went from 22% to 31% market share in 18 months. that entire gain reverses if this passes. coinbase publicly rejected the draft which means the amended version probably requires yield products to register as securities instead of outright ban. either way the 90 day window before clarity emerges is going to compress DeFi yields and accelerate offshore migration. the market is still pricing "regulation is bullish" generically when this is a targeted kill shot on a specific business model

Two plausible explanations: Aliens: With almost 100% certainty, there are many many tens of billions of bodies of mass in existence that have life of all varying degrees of development. But the tech is natively built, by us and perhaps one or two other nations. Most probable scenario is the most obvious and one allowed by physics. Communications. And there are multiple plausible vectors of communication. No reason to physically travel when data travels infinitely easier. AI: If AI is now being allowed to be commercialized, the United States has had AGI for years. There is no tech this powerful and dangerous and world changing that the govt has allowed to be devolved in the full public view. Would be a monumental and potentially existential failure. So we have AGI. It may even run on quantum. Another tech they are beginning to allow the development of within public view. But, what the public all is seeing, is the development of the commercialization of the tech, not the breakthroughs that invented the tech. The government already did that and has now given green to commercialize, which there is massive precedence of procedure for. And so we use the AGI not only to predict future potential outcomes of various moves on the geo-political chess board, but also to develop tech. And remember, even if the AGI could have solved cancer five years ago, they could never revealed that. So it is probable that we are using advanced quantum AGI to aid us in the development of new technologies.
