First, the statue of Jesus
Then, the attack on a nun.
Now, destroying a Christian church.
Is this typical or just a really bad week for the behavior of the Israelis?

The US is currently subsidizing the price of oil, and therefore stimulating increased demand, at a time when prices should be going up to choke off enough demand so that supplies are balanced with price.

IRANIANS BRACE FOR WAR’S RETURN: CNN
Many Iranians say the ceasefire feels fragile and temporary, with growing fears that fighting will soon resume.
Residents in Tehran describe a sense of anxiety and resignation, expecting more destruction. Some say daily life feels abnormal and suspended, while others feel detached—simply waiting for what comes next.
“We feel helpless,” one woman said. “What can you do besides just wait?”

.@MrsErikaKirk, who to date has rarely responded to baseless innuendos and suggestions from Candace Owens that she is part of a conspiracy in her husband’s murder, called out Owens following the WHCD shooting. Kirk has been relentlessly bullied.

The UAE has decided to leave OPEC, effective 1 May, as it pursues a strategic realignment in the wake of the Iran war. A conflict that has not only severely disrupted regional energy flows, but also drained global commercial and strategic crude inventories, leaving the market facing a prolonged rebuilding phase once hostilities end.
Several Gulf producers may struggle for some time to restore output to pre-war levels due to infrastructure damage, logistical bottlenecks, and the time required to normalise exports. At the same time, strong demand to rebuild depleted commercial stockpiles and replenish strategic reserves is likely to underpin crude demand well beyond the end of the conflict.
Against that backdrop, the UAE has seized the opportunity to exit OPEC, removing the production quota straitjacket that for years frustrated the oil-rich nation and limited its ability to fully utilise a steadily expanding production capacity. Before tumbling last month to 2.2 million bpd, UAE production had gradually risen to around 3.6 million bpd, while its stated crude production capacity currently stands at 4.85 million bpd, with an official target of 5.0 million bpd by 2027 through continued upstream investment led by ADNOC.
In the short- to medium term, the market should easily be able to absorb additional UAE barrels given depleted global inventories and the need to rebuild reserves. Over time, however, the departure raises a broader strategic question: if other producers begin prioritising market share over quota discipline, OPEC’s ability to manage orderly markets through coordinated supply adjustments may increasingly be called into question.

HORMUZ CAN REOPEN WITHOUT FULL MINE CLEARANCE — US
US Energy Secretary Chris Wright says the Strait of Hormuz can be reopened without removing all Iranian mines.
🔸Only a safe shipping corridor is needed, not full demining
🔸US says transit could resume quickly if a pathway is secured
🔸Full clearance could take up to 6 months, per Pentagon briefing reports
🔸Strait has been largely shut since late February, disrupting global oil flows and pushing up fuel prices
Wright suggests limited clearance could allow shipping to restart far sooner than full demining timelines.

Mark Levin says it’s time to ban “Nazis” and “Jihadis” from social media, saying free speech has gone too far and is “overprotected.”
He wants them immediately removed from all platforms because they are “inciting” violence.
Levin is trying to put people who disagree with his politics in the same category as an assassin.
“Get off our platform.”

Google co-founder Sergey Brin is coming out as Republican, per NYT
The reporting follows Brin's ambitious efforts to kill the California wealth tax, elect a Republican to California governor, and move his residency out of California.
He finally expressed his sentiment in a comment to NYT:
"I fled socialism with my family in 1979 and know the devastating, oppressive society it created in the Soviet Union. I don't want California to end up in the same place."

@profitsplusid @Ole_S_Hansen Good information. Started seeing the same fake FOMO videos like back in late February

Podcasts should do a better job of verifying material comments made by those they interview. Putting a disclaimer at the end of an interview is not good enough. #Silver: Following the excitement and speculation ahead of the March silver futures expiry and concerns about available deliverable supply, attention has now shifted to the May contract, where the next notice (delivery) period is fast approaching. As the chart shows, open interest is once again, and as per normal, declining sharply as traders either roll positions forward to July or close them out ahead of the 30 April notice date.
