@Arlo1523110 @RebeccaMtn @washghost1 You are correct. Speed Queen has been taken over and since then it has had very bad ratings. They definitely were the best appliances before the takeover. Their ticker, now that they are on the stock exchange is ALH.

@RebeccaMtn @washghost1 I suggest that you purchase one NOW. The company was recently acquired and went public a month ago. It will only be a matter of time before they begin using cheap parts made overseas. If Speed Queen does not go private, it will fold in a short amount of time.

@Plantagenny @end3of6days9 Plan better? Sounds like they left the doc office and went straight there. If the last draw is at 345pm then post that on the door instead of open until 4. You are the problem with the world.

💉 A high-risk pregnant woman shows up with her mom at LabCorp in Odessa, Texas, at 3:50 PM — just 10 minutes before they close at 4:00. The employee refuses to do her blood draw and tells them it was “rude” to come so close to closing, comparing it to walking into a restaurant right before they lock the doors. Her doctor told her to get there before 4:00, which they did, but they still refuse to do the bloodwork. The employee says they’re being belligerent and asks them to leave, then tells them that if they don’t leave she’ll call the police for trespassing. Do you think they should have made an exception to their rule for this mom? Especially since she’s a high-risk pregnancy and it sounds like she’s being induced in a few days. I absolutely would have worked later to make sure this mom-to-be got the bloodwork she needed. She’s in enough stress as it is.

An American medical student checks her loans. She owes $396,945. Interest adds $1,943 every MONTH before she pays a dollar. Her resident paycheck is $4,054 — nearly HALF gone to interest alone. By the end of residency, she says it could reach $600k. This is usury.

I make 22$ an hour and my partner makes 40$ an hour. We’re both full time. He wants me to move in with him. He wants me to pay for all the groceries and do all the cooking, but also wants me to pay him $400 a month to live in the house he owns. (He’s still paying it off) He keeps saying the money is going to go to his bank account to save for when we “buy a house together” AITA, Or does this feel a bit unfair?

@redpillb0t The federal reserve was actually a necessary tool when it was created. What Lyndon Johnson did forced Nixon to remove the U.S. off of the gold standard. Further politics and bad decisions stripped further value from the dollar. It isn't just FR issue, it is a political issue.

American server says there is a big difference between how White customers treat them when they make mistakes vs how Black customers treat them - “This is how white people are when you make a mistake in a restaurant, ‘oh, no biggie, no problem.’ And they still tip like $10, $12” - “Black people when you make a mistake. ‘Mm yeah, I need to speak to your manager. I need to speak to your manager. I need you to comp my entire meal, and I'm gonna write a review to corporate and tell them how terrible this establishment is, and we're not tipping. You get a better job.’” She also fingers black customers give her a very bad attitude compared to white customers This post had over 51k likes and over 1000 comments so I read through the comments Every top comment were servers saying they experience this exact same thing

The SPLC has added Turning Point to their ridiculous “hate group” list, right next to the KKK and neo-Nazis, a cheap smear from a washed-up org that’s been fleecing scared grandmas for decades. They somehow still rake in over $100 million a year peddling their “hate map” nonsense, sitting pretty in their Montgomery “Poverty Palace” while crying about “hate” to line their pockets. Even former staffers called their racket a “con.” Their game plan? Scare financial institutions into debanking us, pressure schools to cancel us, and demonize us so some unhinged lunatic feels justified targeting us. Remember the Family Research Council? An SPLC-inspired gunman went after them. They’d love nothing more than to see TPUSA in the crosshairs. But it’s 2025, and nobody with a functioning brain buys their garbage anymore. The SPLC is a laughingstock, a hollowed-out husk of an organization that’s been exposed as a grift time and time again. They’re not just irrelevant—they’re a cautionary tale of how to torch your own credibility. Maybe someone should take a hard look at where all that “nonprofit” money’s really going? Being on their list is a badge of honor. It means they’re terrified that we’re so effective. Keep crying, SPLC—America’s done with your scam.

@JamiethaFounder @end3of6days9 Agreed. I retired at 49, took SS at 63. Wife retired at 50, took SS at 64. No regrets, that said, we have substantial pensions and investment income.

I retired at 57 with a (decent but not great) pension from the company I worked at for 33 years. I took Social Security at age 62. Was that a good move? One can argue it depends on how long I live. Of course, I have no idea when I will die. But I do not regret retiring early, because I have been able to enjoy myself and never set an alarm clock! There is more to life than money!

💰 This guy says you should start taking Social Security at age 62. He walks through the real math on claiming at 62 vs 67 vs 70 using a clear example: roughly $18k/year at 62, $24k at full retirement age (67), or $36k at 70. He shows the break-even points and reminds us that the average life expectancy here in the US is 79 years old. It’s not just about getting the bigger monthly check — it depends on your health, how long you live, and your personal situation. It’s such a practical reminder that these big decisions need to be run with your own numbers, not just generic advice. It’s also wise to run this past a financial adviser. Would you claim Social Security early (at 62), at full retirement age, or wait until 70? What’s your reasoning? When the time comes, I’ll be collecting it at 62.

@end3of6days9 Also by taking SS earlier you can invest it if it's just extra cash. If it's not extra cash and you need it, the SS wouldn't jack your IRMAA up.

This ma ordered a new fridge for $1000 from Lowe’s. When it was delivered, the delivery men accidentally dented the right stainless steel panel on the door. The fridge still works great, but there are three unsightly dents. He reached out to Lowe’s and they took $500 off of the total price, so he ended up getting it for only $500. Would you have taken that deal and saved $500 or would you have taken the fridge back and had the give you a new one that was not damaged?

🚨 HOLY CRAP! Trump Interior Sec. Doug Burgum just revealed he found NGOs where up to 100% PERCENT of their revenue was the federal government... ...and their CEO would make $650K a YEAR, and pay lobbyists $400K. He exposes it: "We found organizations that were receiving grants from Interior, where 80 to 100 percent of the revenue of that NGO was a grant from the federal government." "And yet those organizations, we were the sole source of their revenue, but they would have a CEO making $650,000 and four $400,000 lobbyists!" @RapidResponse47 Dems are FURIOUS the Trump admin is cracking down on this! You can’t get a $1 million mortgage if you make $100K/year. You can’t get a $75K car loan if you make $35K/year. The fact that you can get $250K in student loans for a college degree where you’re expected to earn $40K/year is unacceptable and a complete failure of US society. We have 18 year old kids making financial decisions that all but guarantee a lifetime of economic insecurity. These kids do not have the capacity to understand the implications of the debt they are taking on. The corrupt university system has successfully convinced them going to college is the “smart thing to do” and that it will all work out. These colleges should have to take the financial hit when they load up 18 years olds with hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt that basic math would tell you will never be repaid. The federal government backstopping all these student loans does nothing but enable colleges to jack up their prices every year with zero accountability. Shameful.
