I also hope @TomSteyer calls out @XavierBecerra at the debate for taking large donations from those who adamantly oppose #SinglePayer. Becerra is clearly not going to do much on healthcare besides maybe some lil band-aids on this broken system. He won't work to advance #CalCare.

April 20th update: it's apparently over? #CalCare #AB1900 is dead. @CA_Dem killed it. For the 3rd time in 5 years. Before it got a vote. This is obviously a failure of political leadership, but also a failure of labor leadership. When will labor actually get behind single-payer?

In CA, we have an M4A-like #SinglePayer bill in the legislature RIGHT NOW: #AB1900, aka #CalCare. But @AssemblyDems, at the behest of @GavinNewsom & @CASpeakerRivas, are refusing to refer it to cmte for a hearing & vote. The bill dies on Apr 24 if it isn't referred. Call them!👇
