While AEW isn't as popular as it was in 2021 (alot of those circumstances are never going to be able to be replicated again)
They are in a very comfortable spot right now. They can basically go into any top 100 metro area and have 3000+ fans come out to a tv taping and any top 25 metro area and do between 8-12k for PPV. TV ratings and PPV buys are holding steady and in some cases growing.
AEW to TNA just isn't a comparison, they are miles apart in every aspect of the game

We also need to address the exorbitant cost of concessions at stadiums & arenas that get massive tax breaks.
I introduced the HOTDOG Act to end this price gouging. Families should be able to happily watch my @nyknicks sweep the Hawks with an affordable dog & a beer.

@Alantonio9 @danielsgoldman @nyknicks um mets and yankees tickets are not nearly as expensive as this. Ive been to mets/yankees games and spent on avg between 25-50 on tickets.
There is no reason why it should cost between $150-200 for a reg season knick. game, and then 2x or even 3x that for a playoff game,

@JDfromNY206 Thank U, someone with logical sense broke this down. I said the same in other posts; they blew their chance during the Death Riders Ark, which would have made more sense. Imagine Sting becoming world champion after the NWO disbanded, when he could have won it during its peak

He did randomly win. His time was supposed to be for ALL IN TEXAS. He opted to climb a mountain. Hangman was the next best option. He proceeded to be begin dead end feuds with castoff Death Riders members, all while his original vision of ending the Death Riders failed because Jon Moxley still remained on top. Then Darby feuded with the War Dogs, and become an ice cold presence across all television he was apart of. After 6 months of garbage that killed all his momentum, he then cries for a World Title. Winning a World Title the way he did last night was more of a “Thank you” in his hometown.
The consequences are now you treat MJF like a jobber, after last 45 minutes with Page in a Texas Death Match,m and 39 minutes with Kenny Omega at Dynasty, to lose in 3 minutes like a fucking geek, create predictable television in which Darby’s run as champion will be transitional, only for MJF to win it back 4 weeks later at Double or Nothing. Then MJF will either drop it to Omega or Ospreay, depending on what Tony decides his ALL IN Main Event will be, none of which makes MJF look ideal because you decided to force a moment with Darby that is 9 months too late. But they dug up Sting to give off that “importance”…and fans like this eat slop that’s given.
I want AEW TV to be GREAT. This is not GREAT TV. It’s a moment to create interest that will lead to literally nothing positive.

Something special about Darby's victory is how fast it exposed the grifters. Saying Darby "randomly" won for "no reason." You only simplify it that much if you have no idea how the show opened. Pretending you watched just to have a take is lame.

Boomer nailed it and he knows what it is like to be a pro in New York. He was a star QB, and he went to the Jets, and that is a big deal was probably at the time the best QB they had since Namath, so he knows what it is to go out there and face the heat. He even sees Lindor DGAF
