Your insurance company is the toxic ex you keep going back to. Says they'll always be there for you. Disappears when you actually need them. Love bombs you with "bundle and save." Then quietly raises the price once you're locked in. Tells you "you're fully covered." Leaves out the 47 pages of exclusions. Gets mad when you talk to other companies. Calls it a "lapse in coverage." Takes your money every single month. Makes you fight for every dollar back. Sends you a 90-page document and gets offended when you don't read it. Promises loyalty. Rewards it with a rate hike. And when you finally leave? Suddenly they can match the other offer. They could've given you that price the whole time. You deserve better. Shop around.

@mark_prati @theficouple You just proved my point but with different numbers. You're paying over $1.5k more for your Tesla than your Chevy.

When you bought the $50,000 Tesla Model Y to save on gas & maintenance. Then you learned: - It loses 20-35% of its value by year 3 - It loses 55-58% of its value by year 5 So by year 5 you lost $35,000+ of value? ....Congrats on saving ~$1,000/yr on gas.

@stijnnoorman That's the key, even if it's not a popular comment. Had something similar happen to me when trying to explain how car insurance works. People kept calling me a liar and all sorts of names. And I'm over here like, people I'm trying to explain to you how the sausage is made😂

At the start, nobody sees your content. So you need to force eyes on it. And unless you have a network or money to spend, you do this with quality comments. Good comments = profile clicks = followers. Start leaving more comments.

Something I noticed about people who are actually good with money: They’re not skipping insurance. They’re over-insured. They have umbrella policies. They max their HSA. They carry way more liability than the state minimum. While you’re cutting coverage to save $30/month, they’re making sure one bad day doesn’t erase everything. They’re not paranoid. They just understand that protection IS the wealth strategy.

@Bojengals88 @InsuranceAF @theficouple If he works in the insurance industry, he’s right to feel threatened by Tesla. Warren Buffett said autonomous cars would reduce accidents dramatically: “very good for society and very bad for auto insurers” like GEICO.

Lots of factors to consider: Inflation, make & model, zip code, driving history. There are others but those are some ofthe biggest ones that come into play. At the end of the day, the price is all based on the individual. If you're paying less than what I'd posted, that's fantastic. I would challenge you though to read the fine print to see what is and what's not coverd.

Like you'd mentioned, there are a lot of factors that go into it the final price. For me personally, mine went up 50% last year and never have filed a claim. A few things that they consider are the type of vehicle it is and where you live. Generally speaking though the cheaper coverages are your barebone coverages with many exclusions.

@InsuranceAF @theficouple I don't think this is accurate. Others have reported that most Teslas have insurance costs approximately the same as a competing car of similar value. But a lot goes into an insurance price, so people often get quoted a high price and assume it is because of the car brand.

The reality of being a millennial homeowner right now: - Paying $750k for a house that needs a new roof - Seeing your escrow jump $250/month because of inflation - Getting dropped by your carrier because a drone saw moss on your shingles - Finding out your $2,000 deductible applies to each separate windstorm You didn't buy a starter home. You bought a liability trap.

@NewParadigms27 @theficouple Just because it’s cheap doesn’t mean it’s quality. Most people don’t realize that the cheaper policies usually have bare minimum coverage with lots of exclusions. Unfortunately they don’t find out about it until a claim occurs.

@InsuranceAF @theficouple This is 100% false. Insurance through Tesla is cheaper than everyone. Progressive and Geico openly admit this.

This is obviously just a very small sample but my company is desperate to find people. We've brought on quite a few people over the past few months and are continuously looking to bring on more. I think similar things can be said for the rest of the insurance industry. If you haven't thought about a career in insurance, now might be a good time. Lots of different opportunities with pretty big earnings potential as well.

Something I noticed about people whose net worth actually survives a bad claim: They aren't paying more. They're playing a smarter defense. Fewer unforced errors. Fewer emotional decisions. Zero blind auto-renewals. They’ve learned that a 30-minute film session on their coverages beats 12 months of getting played by a lazy agent. While you're treating your renewal letter like a busted March Madness bracket—just tossing it in the trash and hoping for better luck next year—they're cutting $500 in dead weight and advancing. They aren't insurance nerds. They just figured out that surviving the madness all comes down to the scouting report.

Not a bad one. Having said that if your income is solely based off your 9-5, you’re going to have a tough time surviving moving forward. Nothing is getting cheaper and salaries are barely increasing. That why I always recommend people finding a side hustle or another skill set that can make you money. Your company could lay you off tomorrow and you may have to fall back on that learned skill set until you find something else.

One of the biggest problems with X: Your followers don’t see your content. That breaks the relationship between creators and audience. It makes it harder to build trust, friendships, and communities. This used to be a networking site. Now it’s driven by slop and algo chasing.

The life of a millennial with a side hustle: 9-5 pays the bills. The side hustle pays for the life you actually want. You're editing Reels at 11pm after putting the kids to bed Your "office" is your kitchen table and your "coworker" is your dog You made $742 on the side last year and told no one because you don't want to jinx it Your W-2 job gives you health insurance. Your 1099 gives you anxiety. You have zero liability coverage on your side hustle One client lawsuit and your personal savings are gone You didn't build a business. You built an uninsured liability with a Canva logo. But you're figuring it out. Like you always do.

@BarefootStudent I'll keep saying it but now is a good time to look at a career in insurance as I see a lot of job postings for it. Many are non-commission based that are stable with high earnings potential. Everyone needs insurance so there will always be jobs in the insurance sector.

If you’re a small account…NO ONE SEES YOU. Seriously I have a small almost 13,000 followers… I comment and repost mostly on larger accounts, but no one ever sees it if I just try to post something that’s on my mind. It’s like talking to yourself. After a while, you just think I’ll check the news…. I’m not Posting anything original Because no one will see it. It sucks!
