@B_Sommermann Gee, if we only had Werenski or Makar, or McDavid . . . Yes, Flyers need to upgrade center and defense. Danny has only known this for three years. Wonder why he drafted 6 centers, traded for Drysdale and drafted Gill and Amico? And he's not finished.

Clear difference right there with what an actual top defenseman can do... Zach Werenski gets free and walks into high slot, firing it home by Dan Vladar. Travis Sanehim gets the exact same chance moments later and can barely get puck off the ice. #LetsGoFlyers

@B_Sommermann Except that Seeler - Juulsen were fine in their 3rd pair role. Tocchet put on the ice what he thought was the group with the best chance to win this game - but he doesn't have the horses, yet. They're two years away from being a PO lock, 3 years from being a top 8 team.

One thought as I leave Xfinity Mobile Arena… at this point, if you arent going to play the much better Emil Andrae over Noah Juulsen, why not just bring up David Jiricek ? At least he will bring you some PP life & possibly jolt of energy. Has 2G + 4A with Phantoms #LetsGoFlyers

@charlieo_conn This came down to Greaves outplaying Vladar. Teams were pretty even, but Vladar didn't make the big stops. Which doesn't bother me, Vladar is a good goalie, but not elite and shouldn't be expected to play like one. Don't forget, CBJ has been the hottest team in NHL for 2 months.

Flyers lose 3-2. Lot of pressure late, but just not enough. Once again, they fall short of winning four straight, and again lose to the Blue Jackets, one of the teams they're chasing. They didn't even get a loser's point this time.

Last year, the Flyers' power play was just straight up bad. Bad on entries, bad at puck movement, bad at everything. This year, they ARE creating chances. A fair amount of them actually! They just can't finish.

@KKurzNHL Think it has more to do with Glendening able to play center and more speed paired with Couts.

Luke Glendening now has two points (1g, 1a) in his last four periods, equaling Nikita Grebenkin's total (2a) in the last 15 games. Just putting that out there

@KKurzNHL Looks like Couts to LW may be a done deal, given his skating, best chance for him to remain effective. Glendening has good speed, but at his age, close to end of line. If this line works, does Briere look for a 4C patch until Jett, Nesbitt, Berglund are ready?

Remember, that newly constructed 4th line of Hathaway-Couturier-Glendening had a strong game in Anaheim before the latter two got hurt.

@JohnCleese It's more likely Putin received incriminating materials from Epstein. Epstein's money laundering operation with Russia was never investigated. It's obvious Putin has something on Trump. Meanwhile, Bibi acts more like someone carefully stroking Trump's ego.

@dsilver88 No they couldn't. At least 2, maybe 3 years away from being a top 8 team and Cup contender (unless you're talking McJesus or McKinnon in their prime years, not at 20). Flyers need more experience, shore up depth, deepen defense, backup goalie.

If you could create a good 1C out of thin air and put him on the Flyers roster I think certainly next year they could be a Cup contender That's Danny's job this summer, figure it out
franko65@Raiderfrank65

I am NOT saying the Flyers are a contender, nor am I saying they don't still have work to do (they do). But if they can add a "good" (not necessarily a star) C, and backup G, and with Martone/Foerster coming in, this is a playoff team that is improving and still has a young core

President Trump says that the regime has been changed in Iran and that the leaders in charge now are very different from the ones who were causing problems before. Trump added, “Let’s see how they turn out,” referring to the current crop of leaders in Iran. The president also said that the war has been won and that the only people who want to keep it going are “the fake news.” Finally, he said the current regime in Iran “gave us a present,” adding that it was related to oil and gas.

@yashar Grandpa is drooling again. The leaders in charge are the same assholes as the ones that have been killed. Bibi is just hoping to keep the bunker busters flying as long as he can, and stockpile munitions for the next phase.

‼️ SELECTIVELY CONCERNED BRITISH FM WARNS GAZA IS BEING OVERLOOKED British FM Yvette Cooper is “deeply concerned” the Iran war is distracting from Gaza and violence in Judea and Samaria… apparently the only issue in the region worth worrying about. “I am particularly concerned at the moment about what is happening in the West Bank. I am also deeply concerned about the Gaza 20-point plan process being kept on track exactly because of the wider conflict in the Middle East.” Right. Nothing says “wider conflict” like ignoring the regime fueling it. Iran’s IRGC has spent years backing proxy groups and destabilizing the region —but sure, let’s pretend this all just… appeared out of nowhere. The same Iranian regime she barely mentions has been condemned for brutal crackdowns, killings of protesters, and widespread human rights abuses. But yes, clearly the real problem is that people aren’t talking about Gaza enough. Stay connected, follow @MOSSADil.

@inside_IL_intel This of course, is raving nonsense. As the Romans discovered, the further out you push your borders, the closer you are to your new enemies. The only solution is to crush Hezbollah and allow Lebanon to become a real state.

🔥🔥🔥 At a good hour - after endless urgings - we are starting to straighten out our new territory, up to the Litani River. The enemy villages are being erased, like in Gaza, and no trace will remain of them. We want the fencing of our territory on the Litani, and the removal of the last subjects of the enemy. The fearless Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, officially announced today: the hundreds of thousands who fled from the south to the Litani - will not be allowed to return, until there is security for the citizens of Israel at the old border, meaning they will never return again. And the basket of national achievements - is starting to fill up! Settling the new territories - is a rare opportunity! The kibbutz movement, the moshav movement, where are you? Time for your renewal, with new kibbutzim and moshavim in our new and beautiful territory. Everything is ours. 🚨🚨New on Gplanet: Negotiations, with whom, about what, and what are the chances? @KobeissiLetter Please, I don't know who is more delusional, Musk or Trump. Musk has repeatedly made ridiculous claims, designed to pump up his stock, that are either gross exaggerations or vaporware. It costs nothing to make these sort of claims, but gullible investors respond positively.

@GalvinAlmanza At least in law firms 80-90% of associates are gone within 5 years. The "golden children" are identified early and the others just run up billable hours. Same with consulting and VCs, etc. So you'd eliminate the make work employees - 80 hour works weeks are more about hazing.

@BillKristol No. It's time to double down and go for regime change. Irrespective of the original decision, there's a real opportunity to make a permanent change that will make the world a better place. This isn't Iraq, the Iranian people would jump at the chance if it's provided.

BREAKING: Saudi Arabia's Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been "pushing" President Trump to continue the war against Iran, per NYT. Saudi's Mohammed bin Salman says: 1. The US-Israeli military campaign presents a “historic opportunity” to remake the Middle East 2. Iran poses a "long-term threat" to the Gulf that can only be eliminated by getting rid of the government 3. The US should consider putting troops in Iran to seize energy infrastructure and force the government out of power The Iran War is nearing its one-month mark.

@polyglotme @DanielBordmanOG So it's better to leave civilians so Hezbollah can embed themselves and create large scale civilian casualties? Hezbollah started this "war" by attacking Israel on behalf of Iran - new Israeli doctrine after Oct 7 - if you state you're going to kill us, we take it seriously.

@DanielBordmanOG a few things: since WW II, we have these new int'l laws called the 1949 Geneva Convention & its additional protocol. you might want to read up on them. & Israel didn't just blow up bridges, it ethnically cleansed several hundred thousand people, & leveled entire villages.

If you think blowing up a bridge is a war crime you are the problem. The final scene in Saving Private Ryan is about blowing up a bridge. Denying your enemy the ability to move heavy equipment over a river is not against the Geneva convention or whatever.
Daniel Lambert@dlLambo

The IDF has now destroyed 7 bridges over the Litani river. Blatant war crimes to seize a massive chunk of Lebanon. And the world is talking about empty ambulances in high questionable circumstances... When will they be stopped - they're destroying the world.
