IDK if anyone at @jetbrains will read this, but I've been using your IDEs for like 15 years, but your products are becoming so unbearable to the point that I'm actually considering to switch to something else (for good). 1. I'm using Claude Code ACP (aka "Claude Agent"), but somehow I am not able to use my own Claude Code Max subscription (because reasons); 2. I create a Claude API key (much more expensive) and set it up on the IDE settings, but I still can't use it because I'm "Out of quota" on your AI credits (?); 3. I proceed to buy 5 JetBrains AI credits - just to make it work - but the credits are never deposited on my account; 4. I try opening the company's JetBrains dashboard (now renamed "Console") but it completely unusable - literally there's only the welcome page and I can't do anything on it, I can't see the licenses, I can't change any settings, nothing; Please tell me, what are you doing? Your IDEs used to be the best in the market - by far. But lately they're a buggy mess, crash often, and the AI integration is honestly garbage compared with other IDEs. I still like your IDEs, but please get your stuff together. Also, please fix the Console because it's unusable.

@jetbrains I am working on some dataset, CSV file, 500+ Mb. Opened to see columns, scrolled down, only 800 loaded. Fine, you dont want to kill memory, I understand... But this is awful - this is false, there are values, but it made me think that I have made a mistake in data processing and data is actually missing. This is a bug - either show data, or drop last row if allocated memory is not enough to accomodate it. Thanks!

PyCharm is unbelievably buggy lately. It's getting worse with each and every update. @jetbrains I think you need to tone down the vibe coding a notch. We don't need new features as much as we need stable working features.

@jetbrains Why is @pycharm using ALL of my M5 Max's battery a day just by being open in the background, I'm not even actively coding with it just reviewing Claude Output? You really are making it harder and harder to justify that subscription price each year!

Jetbrain's merge conflict resolver is totally unparalleled. Only issue i find with it is that it starts lagging on large files. @jetbrains @pycharm @intell

I don't know what is up with Gemni Code assist in @phpstorm but it has become slow, dumb, unresponsive, and unusable in the last 2 weeks. It was sooo good. What happened? @GeminiApp

@phpstorm How does it work? Can it run eg Claude Code under the hood? Can I use a Claude Max subscription with this?

In the latest PhpStorm, you can bring any AI agent you like into AI Chat thanks to the new ACP registry. Have you tried it yet? Curious to hear what you think!

@phpstorm I had an attempt today (even paid 1 month of pro) and it's really worse experience comparing to @windsurf 🤯. Everything so slow and so bad... I'm not even sure that it worth to explain what's wrong here. Guys, sorry to say that, but this is complete garbage.

@WeihanLi4 @JetBrainsRider Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately, this is a known limitation reported in our issue tracker; the commit window can't handle merge commits with no file changes. For now as a workaround, committing from the CLI as you've been doing is the way to go.

@JetBrainsRider could we allow commit without any change in the commit window , each time I handle the merge with current code I have to commit via cli

Running multiple tasks in parallel is a massive time-saver, which is why @JetBrainsRider 2026.1 introduces support for Git worktrees 🌳 You can now create a separate worktree for an urgent hotfix, hand off another one to an AI agent, and keep working in your main branch all at the same time. @jetbrains @JetBrains why is there no option to opt-out of Composer 2 Fast? Right now it defaults to a model that's 3x more expensive without a way to switch back to the standard version. We need a toggle for cost control! 🛑

Cursor already works as an agent in all IntelliJ-based IDEs — and now the new Composer 2 model is there too. Here’s a quick one shot-demo using Cursor's agent via ACP. You should try it yourself!

Hey @jetbrains, I absolutely love (and advocate for) your IDEs, and I actively use a handful of those... but can you show some love to the Toolbox? It is handy, but in the projects tab, it could allow us to group projects by IDE/Language, and/or to add folders to organize things.

Hey @jetbrains can I somehow *permanently* ignore this annoying extension in @phpstorm? I'm getting this one for every new @nextjs-based project that I open in PhpStorm and I *do not* want to use said CMS. I know AI is hype and what not, but please don't shove it in my face.

@sviklim @intellijidea This is a known issue youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-386… which was already fixed. The fix is planned for 2026.1.x. Workaround: disable the Spark plugin and dependent Big Data Tools plugins.

I'm having to switch to @zeddotdev because @jetbrains remote support for ephemeral hosts is just not workable. It's really a shame. Zed is a nice IDE. But Jetbrains is really the best. I wish they could make remote less crappy. But I don't know if they can. It really has to do with the fact that JetBrains is just a fat, heavy weight program.
