@JeremyDBoreing The doom scrollers are missing the message to the people of Iran ...

Why are they remaking Harry Potter when there's no problem with the current movies?

It can't be *that* hard to create a version of Twitter/X that removes some of the groupthink but still promotes high-quality engagement and content. And is a portal to the rest of the internet rather than a closed ecosystem, always one of the good things about pre-Elon Twitter.

These are the Twitter/X accounts with the most engagement so far in 2026. I suppose I had some intuition for how bad it was, but jeez, this is what you get when the ecosystem is broken.

"The only murdered Palestinian we're allowed to talk about" - Says Paddy Young on #SNLUK while talking about Easter.

For centuries, Florence has lit up Easter morning with literal fire

#MillyAlcock was asked if she had contacted past #Supergirl actresses, from Arrowverse's Melissa Benoist, to Sasha Calle, who played the role in 2023's The Flash: "They’re just people living their lives. It’s not like we have this blood bond." Source: Vanity Fair | Learn More: bit.ly/4sbUXg6

Lily Alcock is pre-blaming the inevitable failure of "Supergirl" on “simply existing as a woman in that (superhero) space.” Here’s the thing: Way back in 2017, DC also gave us Gal Gadot's "Wonder Woman." She was beautiful, brave, strong, and an actual hero. She wasn't DEPRESSED. She was happy. She fell in love with a man and he with her. That's the story of MOST GIRLS AND WOMEN. Nobody complained that she was a woman. Nobody called her “problematic” for being feminine or attractive. The movie made over $800 million worldwide. Men bought tickets in droves. Women did too. So spare me the excuses, lady. If your movie flops, it won’t be because men “own women’s bodies.” It’ll be because it’s probably shit — just like most of the recent girlboss flops. Wonder Woman proved that audiences have zero problem with strong female leads. We just have a problem with unlikeable, preachy, or poorly written ones.

The new trailer for “Supergirl: Slut of Tomorrow” seems more like a commercial for Cymbalta or Prozac than a superhero movie. She’s Depressed. Drunk. Drinking. Hungover. Sad. Hopeless. In despair. Always laying in darkness. Then somebody hurts her dog and suddenly she’s a hero? But only because she gets to kick some male ass? Nope, still not sold on Gunn’s anti-hero superhero trash. Like Superman, this trailer basically has everything needed to tell me it’s NO FUN… …right down to a funeral procession scene. This is what new Hollywood is: We sell you everything bad you go to movies to escape. 🖕 this movie and 🖕 James Gunn.

This Summer, find your place in the universe. #Supergirl lands in theaters and @IMAX June 26.
