Honestly speaking, the worst thing about part 2 is the assassination of denji's character for me. He used to be one of my favourite but now i genuinely get pissed at what he's become, i can't even enjoy his part 1 self in a vacuum with the context of p2 that's how bad it is.

@3rdlegy I hate to say it but it feels like the cycle of abuse. Denji felt like a predator. I don't like saying that but he seriously was toeing that line.

@raccoonplug83 @QyfieK It kind of is, Denji didn't have a choice to begin with, he would either fuse with Pochita or die at the start of the series, he only gained from his relationship with Pochita and his choices, it literally didnt matter if he made correct decisions or not

@deedeevertigo It's a rushed, feel-good ending, but I think his relationship with Power keeps him grounded. She's the only woman he's not driven to pursue or sexualize Growing up alongside someone like that could genuinely push him toward a healthier mindset

@farris206 fujimoto uses the life cycle of a tree to represent immortality. Trees grow and die and are reborn again after living out their natural life cycle. A chainsaw interrupts this which is represented by a devil not being reborn after dying.

So like… was it ever explained why the chainsaw devil can just… erase concepts?
