We used a rare commodity like gold or silver as a fair ledger to track debt. Backing in the past meant "it's hard to cheat the system".

I have offered more than $220 billion in non US taxpayer money to the White House and Treasury to fund the strategic Bitcoin reserve … via a sovereign debt bond portfolio … and @BoHines and @DavidSacks won’t do the meeting with us despite promising to do so after the Bitcoin Conference in Las Vegas. It’s literally a quarter trillion dollars … and we can’t get a meeting? Stunning. Please help amplify if you can. This is off the charts bizarre. Just like paper Bitcoin and endless derivatives.
