Medieval mythology records that the Giant’s Dance, now known as Stonehenge, once stood in Ireland, its stones carried from Africa by a race of giants.
Merlin later transported the monument by his mystical arts and raised it upon Salisbury Plain.

The Giant's Dance, or Cor y Cawr, said by the medieval authors to have been originally constructed in Ireland using stone brought from North Africa by a race of giants, then subsequently transported across the Irish Sea to Salisbury by Merlin. Quite the pedigree!
