@BK_McCallum I agree with you. I HAVE been one of the women who was asked if anyone was in there and stood at the door letting other women know a father was in there with his daughter. Not one woman had an issue with it.

I'll continue taking my toddler daughter into the females restroom. I'll continue to announce my presence, my dilemma, and inquire if any of the occupants have a problem with it. So far I've never met one of these vapid women that think it would be better for my toddler to see penises, walk in piss, and sit on a toilet seat that just had piss all over it. It seems like those women mostly exist online.

at my OB's office, waiting room is full, and a non-pregnant woman WHO MADE EYE CONTACT WITH ME MULTIPLE TIMES has not given up her seat so i can sit 🫩 society is broken

How do I explain to my 12 year old son that while I am beyond proud of him for programming his own game for his computer class, I'm not sure if there will be any opportunities for that kind of work for him when he's older? I've already told him that it's an excellent skill to have because you can use it for personal creations, hobbies, but perhaps not for a career. He is SUCH an incredibly bright kid, I don't want to accidentally push him or pull him away from something that may be fruitful, while also not giving him false hope.

@techhsiren I my rural area,OB and gynecologist serve the same role.And guess what, we actually still need to get medical care. Including cancer.

@MariaGak this is a different situation, we are at the OB's office. you are here because you are pregnant or you are with someone who is pregnant and there is no excuse . if you cannot give up your seat, do not come, there is no need for you to be here.

@backwoodsbourg @techhsiren But I am not the one judging. And telling others they need to suffer because they are less important. I was trying to point out that there can be reasons someone won’t get up for a pregnant woman. But apparently us older women are just supposed to shut up and suffer.

@thecavemommy That’s really stupid. It’s a maturity issue that happens at different times for different kids. Waking them is not going to get the brain to develop quicker. Literally they CANT wake to pee until they develop the right chemicals. Eventually they will wake dry, you will notice.

Son is almost three and I haven’t bothered potty training him overnight. Had a mom acquaintance once tell me she woke her daughter up multiple times during the night so she wouldn’t wet the bed to go potty. She was only 3?? That sounds pretty miserable. Maybe I’m selfish and lazy that’s fine but I don’t think my son will have trauma for being in a pull up overnight till he’s 5 or 6. He’s potty trained during the day, has been for a while, why make all of our lives more difficult

@sunfwrpwr I think that it sounds as if your doc is worried he may need to induce if BP goes up again. And the sweeping of the membranes when successful needs less medical intervention when inducing with other means at 39 weeks.

I need thoughts on membrane sweeps. My OB suggested to do it at 38 weeks and I told her I was going to do some research.

@kurks91 Oh yeah, definitely girl teachers vs boy teachers too.Some teachers are creative with great projects but those projects really resonate more with girls than boys.And they don’t seem to realize it. You need to find out who not just the best teachers are but the best BOY teachers

Yesterday, I was talking to a parent that said her son struggled in class because of the aesthetic. She said he was sad that it was all “girl” stuff on the walls and he didn’t resonate or connect to things in his class. Interesting perspective that got me thinking 🤔

@ProLifeLiz Depends on what kind of parent you are or want to be.That age will often fall asleep no matter what.May stay up a bit later but can pass out easily in a back carrier.There are hats,sunscreen, & bug spray.Go to the outdoor concerts,or don’t and let your fears rule your summer

I’ll probably get dragged for this but how do I have fun in the summer with a 14mo when I am afraid he will get too hot or sunburned or get eaten by bugs. And also he goes to bed at 7:30. And also we can’t afford babysitters. I want to have a good summer but i need tips pls

I’m so tired of catching strays about my pregnancy & lifestyle choices from family members who I know will not make an effort to have a relationship w my baby. Aunt's "wife" asked my mom if she was gonna be babysitter & she said "idk since anna will be staying home"

I recently spent quite a big amount on 3 kids. I don’t know if anyone remembers me talking last year about how at birthdays my friend wants all her kids to get gifts. Anyway, she made a registry, and it got pretty expensive. Not to mention the party was over an hour away, up a mountain. We got fevers and couldn’t go at the last minute, but she told me we are the only people who used the registry. She asked me to. So, I did. I guess I’m the only one who fell for that. It was fine, though, because some parents are hard to please. I don’t think it’s the kids.
