People are mad at him and rightfully so, but Gunnar following this play and not dogging it and being there for the tag may have won that game for them. Could have hung his head and pouted but was in the perfect spot.

More HR training (I promise this won’t turn into an annoying runner account). One hour at target HR. No walks (but I would have, if needed). It took like a month to get here. Lots of run/walking in the last month because HR would take off. The HR training requires you to run MUCH slower than you normally would. So you have to accept that. Your “normal pace” will always be zone 3 because that’s where the work of the running meets nicely with your comfort levels. The problem with zone 3 running is the eventually plateau. It’s counter intuitive that running slower than your normal run pace would behave that way. But the body of evidence here isn’t small. Want to run faster? You gotta run slower. Lactate clearance HR is where the science nerds define the beginning of zone 2 and this is an important distinction the more elite the athlete. But if you’re a regular hobbyist who wants to start jogging? Not sure where to set your HR target? MAF method it. 180 - age ( - 5) is a fantastic good estimate. The granularity of the poorly to no trained isn’t necessary. Run/walk over TIME. Keep your HR *under* your target. Run and if you get above the HR, walk. Learn to run slower. And when you can finally run slower over time become amazed your run pace begins to creep up without effort. You can do this with one long slow effort per week, one easy run effort per week, and one easy/fast (you actually get to get after it with this one). Use times. Like start with a 30minute run/walk long run. Easy run needs to be about half the time. Say with the easy/fast. Time increases by 10% total week to week. Use an AI and use the cheat code for basic running programming. Tell it your need a HR training protocol and give it your goals and time available to run. Anyway. HR training is cool. Check it out.

The Orioles lose 4-2 to the Guardians. Dean Kremer was excellent -- until he made one bad pitch. Leody Taveras and Gunnar Henderson hit solo homers, but the rest of the offense struggled. Baltimore is 10-11.

Today, 69% view the war as important to American interests -- the Russia-Ukraine war, not the war in Iran right now which has over 50% disapproval.  The other important point to that is that President Biden and Kamala Harris actually got congressional approval for the money that they sent to the Ukraine. They didn't just say I'm going to do what I want. They asked people who were elected by us, what do you think about this? It was approved and they were part of a coalition of over 50 countries that sent aid and weapons to the Ukrainians. That's how it's supposed to work.
