@Rick62Klassen @dovetails88 @acoyne Couldn't care less about who's coming - truth is we're not able to keep up with housing, healthcare, jobs etc. They promised us that more immigrants would grow our economy & it did nothing. We're tapped out on taxes so what is CAD's plan now to support this level of imigration?

@dovetails88 @acoyne It’s a common term… I don’t have time to explain common Canadian terms or phrases of the English language to you…

The population is *shrinking* for the first time in our history, and the same Ehrlichian hysterics are still banging on about “runaway immigration” and “out of control population growth."
Election Watcher@CdnElectWatch

Statistics Canada estimates that Canada's population decreased by 103,504 in Q4 2025, for a total decrease of 179,572 in the second half of 2025. It cautions that the data is preliminary and recent changes in government policy may mean bigger-than-usual revisions.

@TristinHopper You say it'll take more pain for them to notice as though they're not all masochists.

If Carney was doing literally any of the things Boomers think he's doing, I would sleep better at night. But he's not. He's not fixing immigration. He's not fixing crime. He's definitely not "unleashing" the economy. It's just going to take more pain for people to notice.
Tristin Hopper@TristinHopper

1. Canadians know things are worse. 2. The worse things are not improving. 3. They won't improve, because leadership is actively avoiding the things that would fix them. Keep your eyes on the prize. It's disheartening to see so many Canadians suffer a psychotic break, but where we are is not sustainable.

@harleyf @ddebow @dmrider @nytimes Chalet BBQ is the unsung hero of Montreal. As an expat I confirm you can't find chicken like that anywhere else in the world. Fun MTL fact: Swiss Chalet and Harvey's were founded by the son of the owner of Chalet BBQ.

Montreal has the best food scene in the world right now. And it's not even close. Here's @nytimes on Rôtisserie La Lune. Rotisserie chicken. Obsessive craft. Packed every night. One of my favorite restaurants on the planet. And absolutely in Montreal. So proud of @vanyafilipovic, Marco and the whole team. @Montreal is on fire 🔥 nytimes.com/2026/03/17/din…

Bernie Farber is one of the loudest voices pushing the government to bring back section 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act to censor what Canadians say online. It's telling that Marc Miller (the avowed fan of censoring holy texts) appointed Farber to the "online safety" panel.

@kinsellawarren But then why - with the exception of anything having to do with Jews and Israel - do you continue to support this Liberal government? They have thrown the community under the bus for over a decade now.

Eliminating the threat posed by a despotic regime that funds terror and hate groups, destabilizes democracies, and develops nuclear weapons to use against the West should have been popular. Future historians will analyze how Trump actually made all that unpopular.

@kinsellawarren What a bunch of manufactured BS. Media on the hunt for people who are boycotting travel to the US. That's they're prerogative of course but the liberal media would have us think the whole country is on side.

Yep. "Gone, for many Canadians, are the splashy visits to New York City, the ritual summer stays in Maine, the Boston Red Sox games, and the months spent under the Florida sun. Canadians are even forgoing regular cross-border shopping trips." cnn.com/2026/03/16/tra…

It’s honestly wild that the CEO of one of Canada’s largest corporations is this openly and explicitly anti-Indigenous. Like he’s upset at calling Canada “Turtle Island.” You’d at least hope someone this wealthy would be less of a wet blanket.

Happy 1st anniversary, Mark Carney! -Deficit doubled -Highest food inflation in the G7 -2nd highest unemployment in the G7 -No pipelines approved -Homebuilding dropping 15% -Immigration system still broken -Violent crime skyrocketing in our major cities A year later, illusion meets reality. @Santand42735867 @jimcramer Hey retard, their former leader did not have nukes and was not pursuing nukes. Get it through your thick fucking skull. Now that he's dead, they will most certainly develop nukes, because you morons killed him. Go read the DNI report published by Tulsi Gabbard.

And i am very sorry if i offended. That's wrong to do. I simply wanted to remind people what could happen. NOT WHAT I WANT TO HAPPEN. I protested then to that solution. it was horrendous. I apologize if anyone thought i favored that solution

Trump just bragged about HIGHER gas prices. He said, "When oil prices go up, we make a lot of money." Who is we, dick? Your oil company donors make a lot more money, but the average American PAYS a lot more. We don't get any of the upsides, only the downsides. He's unbearable.

@eliasmakos MPs are elected to serve their constituents. They aren’t legally bound to a political party. It sounds like she decided which party was offering the best path to deliver for her riding and made her choice. That’s how parliamentary democracy works.

Last month, the Liberals announced $230 million of new funding for Nunavut, or about $6,000 per person in the territory. Now Nunavut’s NDP MP, Lori Idlout, is crossing the floor to join the Liberals. Funny how life works.
