Yield doesn’t start with strategy. It starts with structure. That’s something I really understood after going through the risk management framework behind rtUSQ from @CicadaFinance. Before capital compounds, it has to be protected. After reading through the framework, I realized the design is actually simple once you break it down. So let me explain it in a way that’s easy to understand. The entire system runs on three structural layers. First, Asset Due Diligence. Not every onchain asset qualifies. Yield must be verifiable. Settlement must be repeatable. Risk must be measurable. Legal and compliance feasibility must be clear. If an asset fails one of these standards, it simply doesn’t enter the portfolio. Second, Custody, Settlement, and Redemption. Funds are held with compliant third-party custodians. Critical operations require multi-signature authorization. Execution happens offchain for efficiency. Settlement and allocation happen onchain through predefined smart contract logic. Redemptions follow rules written into code, not discretionary decisions. Third, Security and Compliance Setup. Core contracts are audited. Monitoring runs continuously. Funds remain segregated. Compliance onboarding is structured by jurisdiction and asset type. After reading all this, one thing stood out to me. rtUSQ doesn’t try to eliminate risk. It engineers around it. And in onchain asset management, that difference is everything. And that’s why rtUSQ feels more like infrastructure than a short-term opportunity.
