The Mathematician and the Mirror This Tuesday evening, a television series about a mathematician who finds a hidden pattern in prime numbers sparked something unexpected. Recognition. For years I'd been searching for patterns too—not in numbers, but in language. The eight mechanisms by which institutions soften harm, displace responsibility, and make consequences invisible. The mathematician's discovery was beautiful and irreversible. Once seen, the pattern cannot be unseen. Deep Truth is the same. A sieve for language. A mirror that asks one question, quietly and persistently: Who is actually responsible here? This story, written by a human in conversation with an AI, is itself a demonstration of the collaboration this work is about. @spenderallegra @DavidShoebridge @ChaneyforCurtin — the mirror is yours to hold. @spenderallegra I’ll get on this on Sunday via Deep Truth. I need a break this Saturday. Besides the speed with which quality analysis can be carried out creates time to really think things through and, indeed, experiment. Yes, I do have in mind a few pointed self-limiting systemic and ‘mindset’ factors in government and the public service.

Make no mistake. Unless there is deep and widespread change across and between politics, government and the public service this is where we will end up.

Dear @spenderallegra @DavidShoebridge @ChaneyforCurtin @MaryKostakidis @DeepCutNews Good morning. Mindful Progress: Deep Truth is a moral disengagement analysis of Australian law, democratic governance, and the future of civil society — built on Bandura's eight mechanisms. It covers two decades of federal and state legislation. It names the pattern. And it closes with a story about what that pattern does to ordinary people over time. Note: Link to full analysis of @deepcutnews piece is on the web page. 22 pages of rigorous analysis and a very telling story. The methodology and Deep Truth Prompt Suite was developed in collaboration with seven independent AI platforms — each applying the same framework, independently. …l-progress-deep-tr-5hxbhrr.gamma.site

Doug Cameron nails it! “There is still time to reject AUKUS & focus on peace & diplomacy “This can only happen if the nation is aware & we stop being led into a war to confront China. “The history of America is one of imperialism &hegemony.” johnmenadue.com/post/2026/03/a…

@MichaelWestBiz @ReubensteinM Note: My sentence “Claude AI was using Claude AI” should read Claude AI was using Deep Truth”. My mistake - I shouldn’t type when I’m also on the phone 🤣

Tomorrow the PM is meeting state and territory leaders about the fuel crisis. They should discuss making public transport free for as long as the crisis goes on. And as the Federal government is backing the war, they should pick up the tab.

Admittedly, this may be unlikely. However, in such volatile times I don’t think we can dismiss improbable. That is, the possibility that most nations will regard America as a failed State. A pariah. That would most likely be conveyed quietly at first. A circuit breaker as it were. My rationale? Many aspects of the other options boil down to mutually assured destruction. Socially, economically and environmentally. That’s before we go near the immediate and longer term human costs.

President Trump has issued a strong threat to destroy every Iranian port and tanker if Iran disrupts the flow of oil, particularly through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical chokepoint for global oil shipments. This announcement has already caused significant market reactions, with crude oil prices surging by about 10% immediately after the news. The threat reflects escalating tensions in the region, with potential for serious disruption to global oil supply chains. - Proffessor jiang

@johnmenadue @MsWyuna On the one hand this government says there needs to be changed due to the impacts of war and global instability while in the other hand running away from the substantive positive changes that are needed. The Liberal Party is no different.

I've been pushing for the capital gains tax discount to be reduced to 25% & tied to new homes only. This will help incentivise new supply which has flow-on benefits for ppl renting & makes it easier for first homebuyers. We should also cap negative gearing to 1 property & reinvest revenue not foregone in new social & affordable homes. These measures won't solve affordability on their own but will help, and they send a signal that 🇦🇺 wants housing to be accessible and affordable, not primarily an asset class for wealth creation. theguardian.com/australia-news… @GuardianAus @TomMcIlroy
