EQUINOX ENERGY UPDATE Dear All, We are now within hours of the Equinox and what many of you are feeling right now is real, your not imagining it. It is the final stage of a pressure cycle that has been building over many days now. The head pressure, the exhaustion, the emotional waves, the strange body sensations, the dizziness, the fog, the sudden overwhelm followed by moments of clarity. This is the system moving toward equilibrium. The Equinox itself is not a “spike” of energy but more a balancing point. It is the moment the Earth reaches equal light and dark, and when that happens the planetary field recalibrates, and your nervous system, being part of that field, follows. This is why the lead up feels the most intense because the system compresses before it equalises. What you are feeling now is that compression phase reaching its peak. The body is releasing what it cannot carry forward into the next cycle which is why it can feel physical, emotional, and at times disorientating. Some of you will feel like you need to stop, rest, even sleep during the day, withdraw, and question what is happening and this is normal for this phase. And then, as we move through and just after the Equinox itself, the direction of energy will change. The pressure will slowly begin to release, and the system will shift from inward processing to outward movement. Which will be a great thing for many, but a needed thing for others. This is where clarity begins to return, energy starts to reorganise, and what has been unclear starts to define itself. So if you feel heavy tonight or tomorrow, do not fight it. The system is doing exactly what it is designed to do. Allow the body to slow down, hydrate, ground, and give it space to complete the recalibration. This situation stayed heavy on our hearts for days. A mother crow had been caught in an illegal leg trap, and her leg was badly injured. Letting her go like that would have meant certain death. We could tell she had been caring for babies recently, but we had no idea where they were. For several days, animal control officers searched everywhere for her chicks, but they couldn’t find them. At the same time, we were looking after a baby crow that had been orphaned in a completely different area. Holding onto a small hope, we decided to bring the two together. As soon as the injured mother saw the baby, she walked straight to him. She gently held him with her beak, pulled him close, and then placed herself in front of him, protecting him from the people watching. She was a mother who had lost her babies, and he was a baby who had lost his mother. The very next day, against all expectations, her babies were finally found. She raised the orphan along with her own chicks at the rescue while her leg healed. When the time came, they were all released together—one large, happy family. This will always be one of our most cherished rescue stories.

Dear God, please watch over the animals trying to survive every day, the ones who wake up hungry, scared, and unsure where kindness will come from. I think of the small hearts still choosing hope even after being ignored, still trusting a world that hasn’t always been gentle. Loving cats taught me how quietly they endure, carrying bravery in bodies that only want safety. Please guide warmth, food, and compassion to find them wherever they are. Be their shelter when no door opens, their comfort when the night feels endless. Until loving hands arrive, hold them close and remind them they are seen, they matter, and they are never forgotten.

Sitting here in the same day surgery and a doctor explained to a guy that his wife (who was going in for a hysterectomy) ended up needing a colectomy because of multiple diverticulitis fistulas… The dude is having a total and complete meltdown because he “did not sign up” for a wife with a colostomy bag. He’s in like minute 10 of bitching about how badly this impacts him. Somebody better get this man soon because 90% of the women in this waiting room are about to give him hell Update: I went up to the desk and was like “are we hearing this guy? Are we concerned about her care after she goes home…?” and the lady said “way ahead of you and already being dealt with.” So, there’s that. But some poor woman is still going home without a uterus, ovaries, large intestine, but with a giant piece of shit.

I know this is a dark thought, but I can’t be the only one. Have you ever hoped something would show up on a scan? Not because you want to be sicker, but because you’re tired of not being believed. When your pain has no visible proof, you start wishing something would show up. That’s a terrifying place to be.
