Strategy #2 - Some places don’t tax crypto profits at all: 🇦🇪 Dubai – 0% income and capital gains tax. 🇵🇷 Puerto Rico – 0% on local crypto gains (if you qualify as a resident). 🇸🇻 El Salvador – Bitcoin is legal tender, no capital gains tax. To benefit, you need real residency: living there most of the year and moving your life there.

@TCGinvestments There's a reason they are making lots of moves. Volume and user activity is going down. Will see if this is enough to get more users to return. I'm not the only one that has left Coinbase. I've put up with them longer than most and after the 5th strike finally am done with them.

Inclusión Financiera sin Bancos •Evertec impone barreras de acceso para aquellos que no tienen cuentas bancarias o historial crediticio. •Con Bitcoin, cualquier persona con un celular puede recibir y enviar pagos, sin necesidad de aprobación de un banco o de cumplir con los requisitos de las instituciones financieras tradicionales. 4. Infraestructura Abierta vs. Infraestructura Cerrada •Evertec opera una red cerrada y propietaria, donde los usuarios dependen de sus términos, regulaciones y tarifas. •Bitcoin es una red abierta y descentralizada, donde nadie puede censurar transacciones ni imponer barreras arbitrarias. 5. Alternativa para Transferencias y Remesas •Popular/Evertec se benefician de las altas tarifas en transferencias internacionales. •Con Bitcoin y Lightning Network, las remesas pueden enviarse al instante con costos insignificantes, eliminando la necesidad de depender de Western Union o transferencias bancarias. 6. Protección Contra Inflación y Devaluación •La banca tradicional en Puerto Rico opera dentro del sistema del dólar, que está sujeto a inflación. •Bitcoin ofrece una reserva de valor soberana, inmune a la impresión de dinero descontrolada y las decisiones de la Reserva Federal. 7. Dado que Bitcoin amenaza directamente su modelo de negocio, es posible que Popular/Evertec intenten: 1.Presionar regulaciones que dificulten la adopción de Bitcoin. 2.Integrar Lightning Network en su sistema para no quedar obsoletos. 3.Desarrollar su propia solución de pagos digitales, similar a lo que han hecho bancos en otras regiones con redes privadas. Sin embargo, Bitcoin sigue siendo una fuerza imparable: es un protocolo neutral, accesible globalmente y sin permiso, lo que lo hace inmune a los bloqueos corporativos o regulatorios locales. El monopolio de Evertec y Popular no puede competir con la inevitable descentralización de los pagos.

Ikigai Strategic Partners LLC, a commodity pool operator located in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, has been fined $150,000 by the National Futures Association (NFA) due to various violations related to their management of Bitcoin operations. Here's a breakdown of the situation: The NFA issued this fine on August 20, 2024, following a complaint from their Business Conduct Committee on April 29, which detailed multiple breaches of NFA compliance rules by Ikigai Strategic Partners and its president, Anthony Robert Emtman. Ikigai allowed the Ikigai Opportunities Master Fund to advance funds to an affiliate managed by Emtman and another principal, contravening NFA Compliance Rule 2-45 which prohibits such financial arrangements. The NFA accused Ikigai and Emtman of prioritizing their interests over those of the Master Fund and its investors, a violation of Rule 2-4 which mandates integrity and fairness. There was an improper mixing of the Master Fund's assets with those of another pool operated by a non-member affiliate, breaching Rule 2-13. Ikigai failed to provide necessary disclosures to pool participants, violating Rules 2-13 and 2-29(b). The firm was also found lacking in maintaining proper records, a violation of Rules 2-13 and 2-46. Ikigai was cited for inadequate supervision of its operations and employees, contravening Rule 2-9(a). Instead of contesting the charges, Ikigai Strategic Partners and Emtman chose to settle. They neither admitted nor denied the allegations but agreed to pay the $150,000 fine.
