Had been hearing the Flyers like Woll for awhile. Good deal for a goalie that, despite some injury concerns, has shown a lot of talent in the past. Also finally puts an end to the Emil Andrae experiment.

I'm not a huge fan. Pretty bad underlying metrics, but he's big and physical. Hope he gets used as the No. 7. If he's the new Juulsen, it works.

I haven't heard anything about Porter Martone getting banged up at Worlds. Have also not had a chance to watch the tourney games. So I am not sure why he was playing with Crosby and Celebrini early in tourney -- and producing -- and then dropped to 12th forward the last 5 games.

@JameyBaskow Imagine that. Kid came into camp out of shape, was treaded like straight garbage by his coach, played as a 3rd line forward, and received less than 12 minutes of ice time a night. All of that to put up 51 points… The kid is an absolute treasure. Will be an absolute stud.

Some should chill about Matvei Michkov. Some say Owen Tippett had a great season, but he finished with the same points as Michkov. Both Flyers wingers finished with identical 51 points in 81 games: Michkov is held to a higher standard, due to ceiling, that's the difference.

@JameyBaskow Not just about points though. When MM isnt scoring he isnt helping the team in any other way and often times hurting them.

@charlieo_conn Id have Bump playing before MM, Barkey and maybe even Forester at this point.

Based on this, Bump looks like a stand-in for Tippett, maybe? That would imply Bump could be out for Game 1, and Hathaway back in. Interesting.

The man who ended up with York's stick returned it to him today. York wanted it back -- he said he plans to frame it, have it for the rest of his life. York and the Flyers gave the man tickets to the next playoff game in Philly, a signed jersey, and another game-used York stick.

Pens win it 3-2. Wild finish. The #Flyers didn't have enough pressure in the 3rd. Pens sat back and defended well. The Bump and TK near misses in close on Silovs stung. Martone just missed too. Chances were there. Back at it for game 6 in Philly. #IgniteTheOrange

If you can't attack the middle of the ice, you can't and won't win a playoff series. Pens have been nullified with near perfection by the #Flyers thru first 2 games of this battle!

Sounds like there will be some call-ups for tonight's game, not sure how many (only have so many post-deadline recalls remaining, unless they tap into emergency recalls), but the Flyers are gonna be sitting quite a few guys for the now-meaningless Game 82.

Tocchet seems to have flip-flopped Barkey and Grundstrom in the second period, by the way. That's why Grundstrom was out there with Zegras.
