Them making the playoffs or missing by 3 points isn't fundamentally changing the FO's view of this team nor its timeline. If anything, making it and getting a raucous crowd will be a selling point to players with PHI on their NMC lists.

@JoyOnBroad It’s the long term effect of this. They make the playoffs = FO now speeding up and making bad signings. They’re not ready and realistically 2-3 years away. They lack so much talent.. and you know that. Them making the playoffs hurts this team long term and you know it!!!

His hips are so fluid. As he's dropped some of his weight (muscle too, not even the meme), it's unlocked a lot of the lateral movement he's so good at.

Since coming back from the Olympic break, Matvei Michkov has 5 power play points -- most on the team in that time frame. So what does Rick Tocchet do? Demotes him to the second power play unit. I'm happy for Martone getting this opportunity, I really am, but why must Michkov be the one to be demoted when he's arguably been your best power play guy as of late?

There is no viable path to a top pick. If they're going to pick at 14/15, I'd rather them win and make the playoffs. It's not complicated.
